They come back and tell me they are having more better sex. Listen to a few episodes of Dirty Poetry. It could be you having the more better sex.

I'm Jack Cairn, your host for Dirty Poetry. After many years of traveling all over America, I’m back at the ranch for what was supposed to be a quiet retirement. Through the years I’ve had a long series of successful romances, affairs, and marriages. Successful in that they're over, and almost entirely without bloodshed. I've had the great good fortune to have been loved by some amazing women. My manhood has been shaped by these beautiful, brilliant, wondrous women who shared their affections with me.

One of the most constant threads throughout my lifetime has been that I’ve been reading erotic literature. Not the picture books. Well OK, maybe a few of the picture books. But primarily erotic novels and short story anthologies. I lost my entire library in Hurricane Harvey. A lot of out of print classics and a few truly rare volumes. A lifetime’s collection. Gone. It was a disaster. I am rebuilding. I want to invite you to come along with me on this adventure of building an erotic library. See the new collections in the Dirty Poets Bookstore, https://shop.aer.io/DirtyPoets

It seems that circumstances have come together to make this now, the right thing, in the right place, at the right time. We have all the technology we need. You and I can share intimate moments any place, anytime, but always in the privacy of your own mind. Having been a longtime reader of erotica, I think I’ve grown into the editorial discernment needed to find powerful stories, skillfully written material, from the best and most creative erotic minds. I’m not embarrassed to talk about sex in public. In fact, it appeals to my exhibitionist tendencies. Add into all that, the fact that people have been telling me most of my life that I have a ’late night radio smooth jazz voice’. I’ve always brushed that off, made light of it. I’m finally ready to own it, ready to speak that voice to you in the service of seduction. This has become my life’s calling.

I want to invite you to come along with me on this adventure of discovering and exploring the best erotic minds. I want you to share along with me, the power and beauty and grace that the expression of our erotic imagination creates in all of us.

Join me on this adventure we call Dirty Poetry.
Using the word poetry very loosely of course.

That also received a very controversial award at the Cannes

Film Festival. The story that movie was based on comes from the 1973

novel written by J. G. Ballard entitled Crash.

The human sexual fascination with

machines, mechanophilia, is not new. A philia or a paraphilia is

defined as the experience of intense sexual arousal to objects,

situations, fantasies, behaviors, or individuals. The most complete

list of philias that I can find includes 549 different things that

humans find intensely sexually arousing. One of the compilers of

those lists, Anil Aggrawal, said “like allergies, sexual arousal

may occur from anything under the sun, including the sun.” The

medical community uses the term paraphilia in the pejorative to mean

something consistently bad or wrong. I suppose that's to be expected

since their business is in dealing with broken dysfunctional people.

Granted, there are some paraphilias that are disturbing and deeply

dysfunctional. But the vast majority of them are simply obscure

esoteric things that someone, somewhere has found sexually arousing

and vitally erotic. There are many of these philias that most of us

use in the everyday expression of our own sexuality. For example, a

fascination with breasts, or legs, or lingerie. We should recognize

that mechanophilia and our newfound digiphilia, I might be making up

a word there, are only two possibilities in the vast range of human

sexual expression.

Nevertheless, our fascination with

machines, their digital expressions, and the intersection with human

sexuality has come to the forefront. All this new technology is

coming together to create possibilities we’ve never seen or

imagined before. The changing relationship between humans and our non

human companions is what brings technologists and researchers

together every year for the annual conference, Love and Sex With

Robots.

They examine both new questions and old

questions that have taken on a vitally new meaning. I believe there

are some questions that will only occur to us as the years pass, as

the decades roll by. For example, what happens when we get older, as

we age, and our non human companions do not. Our next story looks at

that question.

The next story, entitled Wish Girls, was

written by Michael Addison. Michael Addison is from northern

California. An experienced erotic short story writer, he has been

published in among other places, The Best American Erotica and

Fishnet. This story was discovered and brought to print by one of

America’s great erotic editors, the brilliant Ms Susie Bright. I

found it in the out of print, silk bound volume, the Erotic Treasury.

Imagine if you will, a young man. A

young man in the first full flush of manly hormones. His male member

springs up fully erect every day, and he has beaten it down until it

is raw. Like so many of us did. By a stroke of fortune he encounters,

a genie in a lamp, a spirit in a bottle. Maybe he rubs a lucky rock.

By whatever means, he is granted a wish. One wish. For many young

men, their thoughts turn to older women. More worldly, experienced

women. How many schoolboy boyfriends have crushed on their

girlfriend’s hot mom? Remember “Stacy's Mom Has Got It Going On”?

But our young man is not quite so sophisticated. His idea of older

women is cheerleaders. He thinks to himself, I’ll wish for a

cheerleader. No wait, make that two. Yeah, that's the ticket, two

cheerleaders. I'm sure that the first few years were glorious. But

now, it is 15 years later. Our young man has grown and changed. His

non human companions have not. Let's see how that works out.

Wish Girls written by Micheal Addison

There you have it. Another episode of

Dirty Poetry. It was first published on the

Clean Sheets website in 2008. I recently rediscovered it. And I want

to bring it to you. I rediscovered it in Maxim Jakubowski’s, The

Mammoth Book of Quick & Dirty Erotica from 2013. As it happens,

my used copy was originally from the collection a big city public

library. But it appears to be uncirculated. Never checked out. I can

only hope that my copy was a part of some librarian’s private

erotic collection.

I consider this next story to be one of the classics of erotic

short story literature. Just a taste of what’s to come

in this episode of deliciously Dirty Poetry.

Stay with me for the rest of the episode

and I'll give you the whole enchilada.

The theme of this episode is to watch and be watched. The voyeur and the exhibitionist. Our first story is about a possibility that you might not have considered. In today's world, even with our infinite variety of blended families, even with all of our polyamory and our monogamish relationships, and the multitude of a romantic and erotic and domestic arrangements...

Still... perhaps you might not have considered the possibility of the live-in voyeur.

You'll discover that uncommon arrangement in “Making Myself At Home”, the first story in this episode of Dirty Poetry. This flight of fancy, this ingenious invention, is a product of the soaring mind of the author, Jeremy Edwards.

Jeremy Edwards is the author of what he calls the erotocomedic novels, "The Pleasure Dial" and "Rock My Socks Off" along with the erotic short story collection "Sparked My Moment”.

His stories have appeared in over 50 short story anthologies, including several volumes in the Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica series. The editor of the Mammoth Book erotica series, Maxim Jakubowski says:

“Jeremy Edwards leads the pack of a new scintillating generation of American erotica writers who combine wit and sexiness in equal parts”.

Both of our stories do come from the volume in that series that is entitled “The Mammoth Book Of Quick And Dirty Erotica”, an anthology of very short erotic stories edited by Maxim Jakubowski.

Our second author is an experienced craftsperson in the world of erotic writing. D. L. King has written short stories that have appeared in over 75 different anthologies.

You'll discover that uncommon arrangement in “Making Myself At Home”, the first story in this episode of Dirty Poetry. D. L. King has written short stories that have appeared in over 75 different anthologies. This is an erotic short story that appeared in the anthology Seductions, Tales Of Erotic Persuasions edited by Dr Lonnie Barbach. Our editor, the good Dr Barbach has this to say in the introduction;

“When I think about the most erotic moments of a sexual experience, I am drawn to the delicious and unpredictable build up, the dance of seduction.
A sexual experience often lodges in the memory most vividly because of the events that led up to the actual physical lovemaking.
The invitation to sensually, provocatively play, the anticipation of an experience charged with pleasure and delight.
Consequently, I have gathered a collection of stories that emphasis these openings, stories that set the stage for the sexual encounters that follow.
Seduction is the kindling of romance. It ignites the spark of sexual desire and intensity.
Unfortunately, the art of seduction becomes a lost art in many long term monogamous relationships, although it is usually an important part of nearly every courtship.
This is a tragic loss because in its absence, relationships can become deprived of sexual liveliness and passion.
The connection becomes humdrum, The mundane creeps in and the relationship is diminished.
The word seduction comes from the latin term meaning to lead away. In every seduction, some psychological or emotional resistance is implied and must be overcome.
The resistance may be something as simple as the preoccupation and routines of everyday life, or it may be as complex as a romantic involvement with another.
In either case, one person begins to entice the other, drawing his or her attention away from its current focus and onto a new agenda.
Yet every seduction is a cooperative venture. Ultimately both partners must be willing to play the escalating erotic game.
At any point, one person could abdicate or drop out. The seduced could rebuff the seducer’s advances and the interaction would end.
In humans, romantic pathways are more extensive and complex than in any other species.
We alone use fantasy and imagination as an important part of our seductive encounter.
We have the capacity to raise seduction to a form of art though we are still animals.
Our brains have been programmed to respond to someone that we are attracted to through a physiological chain of events that heightens feelings of pleasure in both the seducer and the one being seduced.
When someone excites us, our bodies respond with a gush of natural chemicals that stimulate the nervous system, causing us to feel euphoric, energetic and optimistic.
Our hearts be wildly. We’re turned on and maybe following in love, or at least in lust.
We may experience a racy sense of exuberance and power at these times, with some creative thoughts and attention.
An artful seduction can create a surge of natural chemicals even in a relationship of long duration. We never lose our capacity to resurrect these pleasurable experiences.
It remains with us for our entire lives.”

Our story tonight is the story of a woman who's fantasies become so constant, so all consuming,
that she is drawn into dangerous situations in real life and ultimately becomes an entirely different woman because of her fantasies.

Our editor, Dr Barbach and the author, Nancy Long had this to say about our story;

“Rather than moving towards someone, the motivation behind some seductions is to escape from a certain set of circumstances.
When life is depressing or distressing, when a relationship is having difficulties,
we may find ourselves moving away from a drab or uncomfortable reality, seeking relief through an illicit sexual relationship or seductive daydream.
We may seduce ourselves with a fantasy and create the perfect lover who will rescue us from the emptiness...

The reading in this episode of Dirty Poetry is entitled “A Life Of Seductions” written by Nancy Sasha Long. When life is depressing or distressing, when a relationship is having difficulties,
we may find ourselves moving away from a drab or uncomfortable reality, seeking relief through an illicit sexual relationship or seductive daydream.
We may seduce ourselves with a fantasy and create the perfect lover who will rescue us from the emptiness or the mundane problems of our lives.
For me, Long explains, seduction usually comes in the form of a fantasy that is capable of overshadowing a rather bleak reality.
It is the illusory promise of fulfillment, a temporary paradise.
When reality comes up short, I retreat into myself, into a fantasy world where seduction creates the potential for fulfillment.
Fantasies of wanting to be seduced or to seduce someone else, helped me to relieve the boredom, the frustration and the feelings of powerlessness.
It seems to me that the single most important element of seduction is its promise of fulfillment.”

Enough of the promises. Let's get some fulfillment.
