I prayed, God answered, and from then on, every visit, I heard, "It's storytime Memaw." until I told them one.Later, I prayed, "God, give me stories of You. They need You in their lives, help them draw closer to You." This went on for 8 yrs, then both accepted Jesus as Savior.3 months later, Mar. 2020, during prayer, God spoke. I clearly heard Him say, "Have them published." Immediately I said yes.I had never done social media and never used a computer. During the stay-at-home mandate, I bought a computer and God saw me through.

I had never spoken to a crowd before, but I have no problem bragging on God and sharing what He's done in my life. Not only has He labeled me an author by giving me a book, but He's also called me to be a storyteller, by giving me a podcast to tell old and new stories He continues to give me. It's all of Him."

 She went on to pen chart-topping singles such as "Each One, Reach One" and "A World of Difference." Some of her songs have become church standards such as "All Rise," "With All My Heart," and "Hallowed Be Thy Name". Her song "All Rise" was one of the most-recorded contemporary Christian songs of the 1990s

 She hosts a television talk show called Babbie's House, which is broadcast out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Four months after her mother died of cancer, author and speaker Ginny Dent Brant was told by doctors she also had breast cancer, and an aggressive form of it. Having just watched her mother’s plight, Brant decided to take a different approach and immersed herself in research to find out what she could do in addition to traditional treatments to help her doctors beat her cancer.

The steps she took to change her lifestyle during her six-year battle with cancer are now chronicled in her new book “Unleash Your God-given Healing: Eight Steps to Prevent and Survive Cancer.”

“My diagnosis sent me on a quest to discover why I got an aggressive and deadly cancer for which I had no risk factors or genetic indicators,” says Brant. “I read over 50 books on cancer written by doctors, scientists, nutritionists, etc. I attended medical and cancer summits online and in-person conferences where cancer experts lecture. I searched the medical and science journals tirelessly to connect the dots between the Bible, nutrition, the science of how the immune system works, and conventional and integrative medicine. My doctors were amazed when my blood work six weeks after chemotherapy showed that my red and white blood cells and platelets were all within normal ranges. They called me their ‘Rock Star’ Cancer Patient because this usually takes two to five years.”

In “Unleash Your God-given Healing,” Brant discusses in-depth how nutrition, lifestyle, integrative and conventional medicine, as well as biblical wisdom work together to boost the human body’s immune system. Additionally, Brant’s book features commentary from practicing oncologist and medical researcher, Dr. Robert Elliott, Director of the Elliott-Elliott-Head Breast Cancer Research and Treatment Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Brant says the steps she took to improve her prognosis and rebuild her immune system and overall health can also be used to combat viruses such as COVID-19 as well as many other chronic diseases.

“I believe this COVID-19 is a wakeup call for us to realize we need to take better care of our bodies,” says Brant. “This disease is clearly worse in those who have underlying conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, lung issues, and poorly functioning immune systems. Doctors agree that some of the ailments we struggle with are either caused or made worse by our own lifestyle choices and lack of common sense. Since rebuilding my immune system during and after my cancer journey, I have avoided the usual yearly colds, flu or viruses. Although I’m limiting going out in public and I’m practicing the CDC guidelines, I know that if I do get exposed to COVID-19, my immune function is strong and my own body will take care of it in general.”

Brant says her battle with cancer has strengthened another necessary element of healing—her faith.

Rising Up After Loss -- If you’ve struggled to find your way after the suicide of someone you care about, then you will want to hear how Natalie Ford was able to not only survive, but thrive again after her husband’s suicide.

Dr. Natalie Flake Ford is a native of South Georgia. She lives in the North Georgia Mountains with her husband, Jeff, and her daughter, Jorjanne. Natalie graduated from Mercer University with an undergraduate degree in political science. She later completed her graduate degree at the Reformed Theological Seminary, and she earned a PhD in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Natalie is truly a world traveler. She has visited more than a dozen countries. Much of her travels were prompted by a burning desire to share the Gospel with the world. Natalie is also an educator and a counselor. She currently teaches at Truett McConnell University, and is a therapist at Cornerstones Counseling. She actively serves in various ministries at her home church. She is the author of Tears to Joy: Finding Hope in the Presence of Bipolar Disorder and Suicide and Grace-based Counseling (which will be released August 2021).
