The joy that comes from heaven doesn’t come from a certain personality or life’s circumstance—it comes from God. And Eric has learned that we can, by the grace of God, rejoice in all things. We can leap for joy when we are falsely accused. And we can prove incorrigibly cheerful through every day of our lives.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 commands us to “Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

In the darkest moments of life we can still have a joy and cheer in our soul. Granted, while we may continue to face temptation and trials in our spiritual lives, the Biblical truth is that the victory that Christ won has already been accomplished!

We often think that victory is for sometime in the future—maybe when we pray enough or when Jesus returns. But victory is not something we need to wait around for. The Bible says that not only is victory possible but Jesus accomplished it in the past on the Cross.

How do we walk in victory and triumph now? Paul says in Romans 6 that we are to reckon—an accounting term that means you need to “take it to your account”—an active engagement of the soul that takes the legal rights and truths and apply it to our lives.

We must realize that the sin which once reigned in our lives no longer has any legal right to our lives. We must exert the truth that we are free and no longer under the dominion and power of sin. Just like flying in an airplane trumps the law of gravity, there is a higher law (the Law of Spirit and Life) that enables us to live victoriously.</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Eric Ludy</itunes:author>

God is a Rewarder » What are the most important spiritual truths you have learned so far in your life?
<itunes:title>God is a Rewarder » What are the most important spiritual truths you have learned so far in your life?</itunes:title>
A brief summary of this episode

A brief summary of this episode

https://radio.bravehearted.com/api/podcasts/ask-eric-podcast/episodes/god-is-a-rewarder-what-are-the-most-important-spiritual-truths-you-have-learned-so-far-in-your-life

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/decb8376-b2a6-4272-926a-326a68205055/cover_ask-eric-podcast.png"/>
Eric Ludy

<itunes:duration>06:30</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:summary>In part seven of this series on the Ask Eric Podcast, Eric Ludy discusses one of the most important spiritual truths he has learned thus far—understanding that God doesn’t change and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

There are two key elements in this passage:

1) He is – meaning God is always the same, He doesn’t alter or change, there is no shadow of turning within Him

2) He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him

When you understand these two key truths, you will discover that your life can be built upon Rock. When we understand that God doesn’t change, and neither does His Word, then we can rest firmly upon His character and nature—giving solid footing in our spiritual lives.

In this episode, Eric talks about this verse and how important it is in the Christian life to live with the confidence that God never changes.</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Eric Ludy</itunes:author>

What books have most shaped your life? :: Rees Howells Intercessor
<itunes:title>What books have most shaped your life? :: Rees Howells Intercessor</itunes:title>
A brief summary of this episode

A brief summary of this episode

https://radio.bravehearted.com/api/podcasts/ask-eric-podcast/episodes/what-books-have-most-shaped-your-life-rees-howells-intercessor

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/decb8376-b2a6-4272-926a-326a68205055/cover_ask-eric-podcast.png"/>
Eric Ludy

<itunes:duration>03:55</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:summary>Throughout upcoming episodes we are going to look at some of the books that have most impacted Eric’s life. Sadly, too many Christians come to Jesus and then turn passive in their spiritual lives—but Christianity is not passive. We must exert aggressive belief in God’s promises and exercise what God has given us: grace to overcome.

We are engaged in a battle and must position ourselves to actually do the fighting (through the empowering grace of the Holy Spirit in our lives) rather than sit passively on the side.

Paul declares that our hope of glory is Christ within us—the idea is that we need to live IN Christ. Position in the Christian life is very important; and your position defines your outcome. If you are in Adam, then we share in his rebellion. But when we repent, put off the “old man” and put on the “new man” (Jesus), then His work on the cross becomes ours. Romans 6 says that His death becomes our death, His burial becomes our burial, His resurrection becomes our resurrection, and His ascension becomes our ascension.

If you desire to live a victorious, triumphant, and joy-filled Christian life, then the secret is actually being in Christ. The only way to gain the merit, benefit, protection, and strength of clothing, a tower, or Jesus Christ is to actually find ourselves within them.

The exchanged life is how Christianity functions.

The book was the life story of Keith Green called “No Compromise”—Keith was seeking for truth everywhere, and eventually found Jesus. His response to the truth of the Gospel was “if Jesus gave everything to me, then the least I could do is to give everything to Him.”</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Eric Ludy</itunes:author>

The Spirit Indwelt Life » What are the most important spiritual truths you have learned so far in your life?
<itunes:title>The Spirit Indwelt Life » What are the most important spiritual truths you have learned so far in your life?</itunes:title>
A brief summary of this episode

A brief summary of this episode

https://radio.bravehearted.com/api/podcasts/ask-eric-podcast/episodes/the-spirit-indwelt-life-what-are-the-most-important-spiritual-truths-you-have-learned-so-far-in-your-life

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/decb8376-b2a6-4272-926a-326a68205055/cover_ask-eric-podcast.png"/>
Eric Ludy

<itunes:duration>04:51</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:summary>In part four of this series on the Ask Eric Podcast, Eric Ludy discusses one of the most important spiritual truths he has learned thus far—the Spirit-filled life.

It may sound like a crazy thought, but God Himself—through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit—actually intends and desires to dwell inside of us. Yet while we may know this truth intellectually, most of us fail to realize what this actually means.

When the Spirit of God actually comes to live inside of us, His grand purpose is to resource and supply all we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). He desires to give us His heart, His mind, His eyes. He desires to remove the impurities from our lives and make us holy as He is holy (the work of sanctification).

The Christian life is meant to showcase the glory of God. And no human life, outside of the indwelt life, can do it. The best we can showcase is ourselves. But when we yield our lives and allow God to live within us via His Spirit, we become the workshop of the Holy Spirit and we find our lives (for the first time) able to live out the impossible calling of the Christian life.

After a powerful conversation with his vocal coach, Eric Ludy discovered a key principle that has helped him live an extraordinary life—the secret is the concept of the endless frontier. In this episode, Eric talks about the endless frontier and how you can apply this principle to every area of your life: marriage, family, singing, masculinity/femininity, and perhaps more importantly, our spiritual lives.

As Christians we are not to pitch our tents in the land of “good enough,” rather we are to have the mindset of an endless frontier—always progressing, advancing, and not pitching tents. In every area of our lives, let us not settle for mediocrity but rather pick up our tent stakes and declare “onward march!” within every area of our lives.</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Eric Ludy</itunes:author>

The Power of Grace » What are the most important spiritual truths you have learned so far in your life?
<itunes:title>The Power of Grace » What are the most important spiritual truths you have learned so far in your life?</itunes:title>
A brief summary of this episode

A brief summary of this episode

https://radio.bravehearted.com/api/podcasts/ask-eric-podcast/episodes/the-power-of-grace-what-are-the-most-important-spiritual-truths-you-have-learned-so-far-in-your-life

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/decb8376-b2a6-4272-926a-326a68205055/cover_ask-eric-podcast.png"/>
Eric Ludy

<itunes:duration>05:48</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:summary>In part two of this series on the Ask Eric Podcast, Eric Ludy discusses one of the most important spiritual truths he has learned thus far: grace. In our culture today, we misunderstand grace and assume it is merely the hug of God in the midst of our sin—but in truth, the grace of God is the power that removes us from the sin and lifts us out of the mud and muck. The enabling power of God (ie: grace) helps a man or woman live out the Christian life. A great transformation took place in Eric’s life when he understood what grace was and how it enables believers to live the victorious and triumphant Christian life daily. Grace is simply God’s work which is able to accomplish in and through us what we, in and of ourselves, are unable to do. Discover this empowering grace in today’s podcast.</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Eric Ludy</itunes:author>

An Impossible Life » What are the most important spiritual truths you have learned so far in your life?
<itunes:title>An Impossible Life » What are the most important spiritual truths you have learned so far in your life?</itunes:title>
A brief summary of this episode

A brief summary of this episode

https://radio.bravehearted.com/api/podcasts/ask-eric-podcast/episodes/an-impossible-life-what-are-the-most-important-spiritual-truths-you-have-learned-so-far-in-your-life

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/decb8376-b2a6-4272-926a-326a68205055/cover_ask-eric-podcast.png"/>
Eric Ludy

<itunes:duration>05:36</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:summary>In part one of this series on the Ask Eric Podcast, Eric Ludy discusses one of the most important spiritual truths he has learned thus far—that Christianity can only be lived out in the grace and empowerment of Jesus Christ in our lives. The truth is, Christianity, as God designed it, is impossible to live—we cannot live a grand and godly life in our own strength or resource. Jesus calls and commissions us to be holy and perfect as He is—yet even in our best attempt, we find ourselves flat on our faces. Yet the power of the Gospel, as revealed through the Bible, is that God wants to train us how to live the Christian life. Though impossible to live, the Christian life is possible to live in Jesus Christ.</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Eric Ludy</itunes:author>

What is your greatest concern for the Church today?
<itunes:title>What is your greatest concern for the Church today?</itunes:title>
A brief summary of this episode

A brief summary of this episode

https://radio.bravehearted.com/api/podcasts/ask-eric-podcast/episodes/what-is-your-greatest-concern-for-the-church-today

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/decb8376-b2a6-4272-926a-326a68205055/cover_ask-eric-podcast.png"/>
Eric Ludy

<itunes:duration>05:30</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:summary>In this episode of the Ask Eric Podcast, Eric Ludy discusses his greatest concern for the Church today. In a simple phrase his answer is we are taking sin lightly. It is difficult in the modern church to bring a strong message of conviction. We are confused about the difference between conviction and condemnation and as a result we shoo away the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives under the banner of condemnation. The reality is, when the Holy Spirit is working in our lives, He brings about conviction—desiring for us to repent and be shaped in the image and character of Jesus Christ. When we repel conviction, it often leads to what Eric calls “open door sins” that grow and cause great destruction within our lives. If we don’t handle the small things, we tend to struggle with big things. The Church today hasn’t tended to the small things and as a result we are suffering from enemies within our midst. The Church must once again cherish conviction and regain a sensitivity to sin—refusing to even trifle with it.</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Eric Ludy</itunes:author>

A Tool to Jumpstart Your Spiritual Life
<itunes:title>A Tool to Jumpstart Your Spiritual Life</itunes:title>
A brief summary of this episode

A brief summary of this episode

https://radio.bravehearted.com/api/podcasts/ask-eric-podcast/episodes/a-tool-to-jumpstart-your-spiritual-life

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/decb8376-b2a6-4272-926a-326a68205055/cover_ask-eric-podcast.png"/>
Eric Ludy

<itunes:duration>05:30</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:summary>If you could give a listener a starting tool to jumpstart their spiritual life, what would you give them?

In this episode of the Ask Eric Podcast, Eric Ludy discusses wrestling prayer and its necessity within every believer’s life. Just as Jacob wrestled with God at Peniel, so too you must wrestle with God in your life. In the end, you will gain a big vision for your life and truly learn how to pray. The secret to the Christian life is realizing that you cannot make it through even one day in your own strength—you need God’s strength, day in and day out. We must cling to God—He must be our substance and our strength. He desires to enable us to live triumphant amidst life’s biggest challenges and longs to meet the greatest needs of our lives—and we must learn how to wrestle in prayer.</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Eric Ludy</itunes:author>

Introduction to the Ask Eric Podcast
<itunes:title>Introduction to the Ask Eric Podcast</itunes:title>
A brief summary of this episode

A brief summary of this episode

https://radio.bravehearted.com/api/podcasts/ask-eric-podcast/episodes/introduction-to-the-ask-eric-podcast

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/decb8376-b2a6-4272-926a-326a68205055/cover_ask-eric-podcast.png"/>
Eric Ludy

<itunes:duration>04:20</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:summary>In this opening podcast, Eric Ludy explains what the Ask Eric Podcast is and why we decided to launch it.
