We had to reshuffle some of our summer schedule, but in anticipation of the new Twisters film, we revisit the OG of 90s natural disaster films with the Bill Paxton & Helen Hunt vehicle, 'Twister'. Please excuse some of our audio in this episode as our hosts recorded this episode LIVE in studio and there were a few technical issues, but it doesn't detour from the great time we had talking about this film. In the grand finale of our Exorcist Retrospective series, we watched and dissected 'The Exorcist III,' the 1990 horror cult classic directed by William Peter Blatty. Our team had varying opinions, with some of us applauding it and others expressing strong dislike. Nevertheless, one undeniable aspect was the exceptional, over-the-top performances delivered by George C. Scott and Brad Dourif in the film. Towards the end of the show, in our 'Recommendation Shelf' segment, we eagerly shared some of our most beloved horror cult classics that have earned a special place in our hearts.

John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023) / Film about Gun Fu

Welcome to Back to the Frame Rate! This week we take a seat at the High Table and take a very deep dive into the (elegid) final installment of the John Wick saga, John Wick: Chapter 4. Returning to the podcast after a short break is Eli who we missed so dearly. In addition to our main review we explore in our Recommendation Shelf segment some suggestions from the our hosts. The tie-in to this weeks show are Gun-Fu films. Also in the show, Nathan as the first annual winner of the Oscar contest reveals the film that Sam and Eli will have to watch and review on an upcoming episode. Sam continues to watch subpar sequels. Nathan catches up on some early John Woo, and Eli...has some pent up rage that she needs to work out.

Or will it end up shrinking our hopes for what phase 5 is to become. We also discuss some of the latest entertainment news from the past week including the sad passing of Hollywood icon Raquel Welch, Bruce Willis' Dementia diagnosis, and Avatar 2 officially sails past Titanic into #3 all time box office slot. After our review we share our recomendations of Superhero films that are NOT Marvel or DC properties. However, after some quick research Nathan discovered that Sam's pick is in fact a Marvel property and Sam has officially lost all his comic book credibility (aka nerdity).

Why hasn't Sam watched Everything Everywhere All At Once Yet? Nathan thought Bohemian Rhapsody won Best Picture in 1999 (maybe this was just a case of the Mandela Effect).
