I’m your host, Becca Boeving, aka Pelvic Floor Momma, and today I’m sharing with you my personal journey through pregnancy and birth during the COVID-19 pandemic, including a traumatic first birth and the journey to my successful VBAC experience with my second.</p><p>I also share how Pelvic Floor Momma started, with my passion for helping and educating moms on the power of their pelvic floor, helping them find relief, overcome pregnancy pain, and advocate for themselves.</p><p>The problem is, we aren't taking moms seriously in helping them find relief. Dismissing you and&nbsp; telling you, “You're going to have more pain with your second pregnancy or your third or your fourth”... just because it's “how it is” is unacceptable.&nbsp;</p><p>Because that's really not how it is!</p><p>You're having more pain because the pain, the problem, the cause, was <em>never</em> actually addressed during the first pregnancy or the second pregnancy when it actually started.&nbsp;</p><p>So instead of trying to repair what feels broken, we could work on preventing&nbsp; and feeling like we can actually advocate for ourselves and share and tell what we need and how to do that.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>So that is the birth of pelvic floor momma. That is what we are doing here.
