We hear a bit about the work Labour for Palestine was doing before October 7th and what happened when urgency took on a whole new meaning. The rank and file support for Palestine has now swelled - how can that be harnessed for a long term solution?

Answering the Call: The West Bank

In our second interview with Labour activist Anna Lippman, we get to hear all about her recent experience volunteering as a protective presence in the West Bank, Palestine. With villages under constant harassment and attacks by both the IDF and Israeli settlers, a call went out to allies to travel to the West Bank, stay with families and use their presence as a deterrent for more unchecked colonial violence. Anna again, answered that call.

She talks about using her 'good passport' and Jewishness to first gain access to places in Palestine her comrades only dream of returning to, and then to protect farming families from being run off their land.

Anna, an activist with Labor for Palestine and Independent Jewish voices, discusses her recent arrest and the ongoing struggle for Palestinian solidarity. She was arrested for participating in a peaceful sit-in at AWZ Industries, a company profiting from the Israeli occupation.

The conversation looks at the tactics used by Police to intimidate and scare activists, and highlights the importance of not letting them intimidate the movement. One key lesson from the discussion is the how and why of people fighting these unjust charges and bail conditions, when possible.

Ceasefire Now What?

Unpacking the ceasefire and our feelings around it isn't easy, so who better to help us than Fatima Saleh and Anna Lippman? These two Palestinian Solidarity Activists have been at the front lines for a ceasefire for 15 months, a Free Palestine even longer. How are they feeling about seeing people return to the north of Gaza, or about Trump's comments about what's next for the region? Its a bit complicated.

While we can feel joy and relief in the moment, both our guests are clear - we need to keep up the pressure on politicians, continue our education and create more disruptions.

The West Bank: "We Don't Break"

A discussion on recent events in the West Bank with activist, Anna Lippman of Labour 4 Palestine.

Anna helps tell Awdah Hathaleen's story, one that is sadly, a case study of how ethnic cleansing has intensified in the West Bank at the same time Gaza has been under siege.

Instead of F35s and armed drones, the Israeli authorities aid and abet settler violence to remove Palestinians from their land using tactics reminiscent of the Nakba.

How are the people of Umm Al Khair, Awda's village resisting? What can you do to help? What does this mean amongst new promises to recognize a Palestinian State?

We attempt to answer these questions, as well as provide related geopolitical updates and news from the movement.
