Join us as we read Let’s Go All Around the Neighborhood by Patricia "Patty" Thomas, a sweet, breezy little story about a day of city errand-running that somehow manages to hold an entire childhood inside its pages.

What starts as a simple stroll through the neighborhood turns into a full nostalgia deep dive as we swap stories about playground antics, library obsessions, corner stores, and the unintentional comedy that only kids can deliver.

To round it all out, we’re sipping on a Neighborhood Stroll…classic, balanced, and just tart enough to keep things interesting. Come wander the block with us.

And because no episode is complete without a little liquid courage, Sam mixes up a Michelada , a beer-forward twist on a Bloody Mary, while Beth immediately and wholeheartedly regrets every moment of this tomato-based drink.

Join Beth and Sam as they unpack the emotional depth of this timeless play while sipping on the Fall Vieux Carré and the Vanilla Life, two drinks inspired by the bittersweet beauty of the story.

Drink Recipes:

Fall Vieux Carré

¾ ounce sweet vermouth
¾ ounce calvados
¾ ounce rye whiskey
2 tsp. Benedictine
Add a couple of dashes of cardamon and Peychaud’s bitters
Add all to mixing glass; then add ice
Stir until chilled
Strain and pour into glass
Garnish with a cherry

Vanilla Life

(Mix in glass)
Fill glass with ice
1 ounce Portland Syrups Vanilla Rooibos syrup
2 ounces vanilla vodka
½ tsp lemon juice
Stir
Top with club soda
Garnish with a lemon
