We sat down to talk about how to use your gifts to find your purpose and build confidence in the face of adversity.

Chidi's illustrations went viral in December last year and he’s since been featured in major news outlets including Forbes and CNN and his work is set to be published around the world.

There is a distinct lack of racial diversity in medical illustrations that has been the norm for so long. So if you haven’t seen it yet, you can imagine the eye opening effect of a medical illustration of a black foetus in black mother’s womb.

His is a story of perseverance and belief in a purpose greater than himself that has touched lives all around the world. He applied for medical school 5 times and when he finally got into Kyiv Medical Univerisity, he crowd funded enough money to be able to attend.

This episode was recorded before the recent events of the war crisis in Ukraine - thankfully Chidi was able to get home to Nigeria.

It was amazing for me to delve into Chidi’s thoughts on purpose and passion and I’m so excited to share this fascinating conversation with you

It is a time of great uncertainty for African medical students studying in Ukraine like Chidi, many of whom face discrimination when trying to access scholarships and funds afforded to other Ukrainian students. I sat down with Dr Yewande Oduwole to share personal experiences of the fear of judgement and how to stop it from holding you back.
Yewande got a lot of experience with this when she started her Youtube and Instagram sharing her experience as a dental student and teaching others how to get into dental school. Despite the naysayers she grew her following and now only 2 years after qualifying has become well-known for her passion for dental education.
