Well, this is a bit of a bittersweet episode for us. Changing our podcast from Whiskey Biz Podcask to Bungholes and Rabbit Holes was a bit of a gamble for us and as much as we love the name and Bunghole of the Week, our prior podcast was featured as a top 50 whiskey podcast. Due to that, we have made the difficult decision to switch back to Whiskey Biz Podcask. Woodinville Rye Whiskey - Is this one of the best hidden Distilleries

Thumb Butte Skull Valley Bourbon

Thumb Butte Distillery is a smaller distillery out of Prescott, Arizona. They have a few regulars in their lineup: Bloody Basin Bourbon, Rodeo Rye, and Crown King Single Malt. We were lucky enough to get to try one of their special releases with the Skull Valley Arizona Straight Bourbon. This is a very unique small batch that they smoke using pecan wood. This makes for a very smoky flavor with some bourbon notes coming through. Following our review, the "Bunghole of the Week" is a not a person or people, but instead we picked Ticketmaster and their recent buzz where they are getting the majority of the money tied to ticket sales and not the artists who are performing. Bernheim Wheat Whiskey

This week we have a whiskey that is new to us, Bernheim Wheat Whiskey. This is the first wheat whiskey that we have reviewed. Just like bourbon has to be 51% corn, rye has to be 51% rye, wheat whiskey has to be a minimum of 51% wheat which brings in some different flavors. This is a smooth sipper with a unique palate coming out of Heaven Hill Distillery. This weeks "Bunghole of the Week" relates to a police press conference that has a ASL translator. The reason the translator is the "Bunghole of the Week" is she was not qualified to translate and apparently was pretty far off for a lot of the press conference. This week we review Widow Jane 10 Year Bourbon. Coming out off New York, this whiskey is a nice sipper with good flavor. However, it does come with a heftier price tag than many. Due to this, many have probably overlooked this bottle. This episode we hope to give you insight as to whether or not it is worth the purchase. Following our review, we discuss a controversial person in sports, Skip Bayless. If you follow sports, you no doubt have heard some ridiculous things he has said. This last week was a crazy one for football, with Hamlin collapsing on the field. Our thoughts are with him and his family for a quick and full recovery. With that being said, Skip no doubt had something to say. Was it warranted? Did he go too far? We will discuss that and hop down a few more rabbit holes along the way. A 95 proof bourbon that has plenty of flavor and makes for a nice sipper. However, the first thing that will catch your eye about this whiskey is the bottle.
