She was a big part of our family even though she was small in size. We could not wait for her to meet our son Lucas as Chantelle and I knew the 2 would love each other. Lyla was my co-pilot driving around the farm, snuggle buddy on the couch watching TV, fellow explorer and most importantly, my best friend. She left us far too early.

This episode I want to pay tribute to Lyla by sharing her story and the 2 other Jack Russel dogs that accompanied me while growing up in rural Australia. It's hard for me to talk about so it could be a difficult show to tune into, especially if you have also experienced loss in recent times. But if you are up for listening, I truly appreciate it.

This story is a little different has there is no guest. Late last year my family and I went through the horrific experience of losing our beautiful Jack Russel, Lyla. She was a big part of our family even though she was small in size. We could not wait for her to meet our son Lucas as Chantelle and I knew the 2 would love each other. Lyla was my co-pilot driving around the farm, snuggle buddy on the couch watching TV, fellow explorer and most importantly, my best friend. She left us far too early.

I wanted to talk about mental health for the first story back and I knew there was no one better to join me for this topic then my good friend, Dane Pevy. Dane hosts his own podcast that focuses on mental health sharing his own and others journeys to deal with and overcome the hurdles our minds put in front of us. He has also struggled with his own mental health and is passionate about spreading awareness that it is ok to ask for help.
