So basically The Summer I turned pretty is a wildly popular YA romance show that is based off of the book trilogy by Jenny Han. You might be thinking to yourself hmm. I totally know that name from somewhere? It's because she is also the author of the equally famous To all the Boys I’ve Loved Before book and movie series. TSITP follows Isabel or Belly who spends every summer at her family friend's beach house on Cousins Beach. Belly has always been seen as a younger sister to everyone, especially her moms best friends two sons Conrad and Jeremiah, who are BOTH the love interests of this series at one point or another. But of course Belly goes for the older and emotionally unavailable one who she's been DOWN bad for since childhood.

Louisa: Oh obviously why would you go for the more reasonable option when there's a much more difficult and treacherous path to go down in the form of his older brother. But I am still team Conrad, jeres just there for the plet

Gabbi: trust me Louisa everyone whose ever seen the show shakes their head at every single decision belly makes.. This fanbase is you guessed it like that of most other teenaged romances– teenage girls who are desparately hope for their moms best friends son who also looks like chris briney to fall in love with them!

Louisa: Hey- don’t hate on my guy chris briney. He is the best actor in the entire series. And I think some people hope for their moms best friends son also looks like jeremiah

Gabbi: Okay okay your probably right. Anyways One of the biggest controversies of this show is the heated rivalry between the two brothers over Belly, and very polarly you either have to be Team Jeremiah or Team Conrad. There is a right answer and it is obviously Team Conrad

Louisa: How is that obvious? I feel like they both have some pretty apparent flaws and differences. But im not going against my word because as I said its def connie for the win. We were watching the finale together and SPOILER ALERT when they looked back at the house in cousins after belly and conrad were together she said smth a long the lines of “that shouldve been jere” so I was like what the heck are you talking about its always been conrad and so she was like no its been jere for like 7 years and I said sure but shes always thought about conrad and their infinity necklace and she like stormed off because she was so mad but we resolved it and mow were chillin even though we joke about that fight now

Gabbi: omg tahts insane haha, maybe your part of the crazy fandom.

Louisa: I mean were def not the ones reading the books and making...

Hopewell Valley Student Podcasting Network

Show Name: The Fan and The Foe

Episode Title: The Summer I Turned [into a] pretty [huge superfan]

You are listening to The Fan and the Foe with your host(s) Gabbi and Louisa.

In this episode of The Fan and the Foe we discuss the summer I turned Pretty and its EXTREMELY dedicated fans

Segment 1: Talking About TSITP

Louisa: okay before we get into things i want to clarify that we have both watched this right

Gabbi: yes I ve watched all the seasons

Louisa: Okay good me too, but for the listeners that don’t know, do you want to explain what TSIPT is??

Gabbi: Of course.

Louisa: I mean were def not the ones reading the books and making conspiracy theories, but we do love the show.

Gabbi: haha I get that, dont know if I believe you. In my opinion Belly always loved Conrad so he was always predisposed to her heart. Like Belly dates a bunch of guys between the ages of 16-21 but emotionally she's always had her heart set on a different target. Conrad.

Louisa: exactly, like its always ben conrad no matter who she is dating

Gabbi: you don’t think thats an issue at all??

Louisa:woah I never siad thatOk

Gabbi: before this gets TOOO heated lets take a quick break and you can hear from one of our friends podcasts and when we get back we will introduce a new game!

Segment 2: Banter

Gabbi: Welcome back!! I’m sure that you are all on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what we could possibly have in store for you but I thought it would be fun to play a game where I give louisa a scenario and she determines whether it is a plotline from the insane show that is The Summer I turned Pretty or something random that my brain came up with

Louisa: Wait this actually sounds like so much fun you mustve done a lot of thinking about things other than The Hunger Games to come up with it, and we all know that you find that challenging.

Gabbi: Well I don’t know if you need to be so mean, but yes very possibly it took a lot of my brain power. Ok now lets get started and feel free to play along at home!

Scenario 1: Right after their mother’s funeral the boy’s cousins and aunt come to Cousins (The town) and announce that they are selling their families beloved beach house which was

Louisa: oh well unfortunately i do remember that season, isn’t that the entire plot line of season two, and it was not my favorite season by a LOONGGGG shot. But that is definitely a Summer I turned pretty plot point

Scenario 2: In this next emotionally charged season the summer after susannahs death, belly and the boys (minus bellys brother for some reason) all recieve extremely heartfelt and meaningful letters that tell belly who she should marry, and tell the brothers who belly will marry subsequently breaking Jeremiah's heart.

Louisa: I feel like something like that definitely happened. So maybeeee it's a TSITP plot point?

Gabbi: I feel like I was a little tricky with this one because something like this does happen where susannah gives them all letters but it has little to nothing to do with directly who Belly should marry and it is more of letters of I love you and I'm sorry I can’t witness you grow up and get married.

Louisa: What an extremely sad lens to put on that.

Gabbi: It is a very sad show, in fact the first time I watched it I was with my mom and we both cried for a long long time.

Scenario 3: Belly moves to Paris and gets a bad haircut after she cancels her engagement with Jeremiah. She dates a Parisian man and then when her man Conrad shows up to Paris she dumps her Parisian man for Conrad.

Louisa: I have a feeling that happened so definitely a real plot point.

Gabbi: Yea you are right!! Good job ⅔ is like a new record for you!!!

Segment 3: Crazy Fan Encounter

Louisa: ok whatever now its time for everyones favority segment, the crazy fan encounters!!!

Gabbi: WOOOOOOO

Louisa: SO a little different this time, I still found a wild story or encounter, but I also wanted to share a really sweeet interaction between the actors and a fan.

Gabbi: ooh okay lets hear it!

Louisa: so basically A young fan and leukemia survivor, Jayce Bickford, used her Make-A-Wish experience to meet the cast of The Summer I Turned Pretty. The cast surprised her at her job (yes, at Sam’s Club!), gave her favorite Starbucks drink, and took her onto the show’s set — even letting her sit in the iconic red Jeep from the series. Clips of her joyful day with Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno, Christopher Briney, and creator Jenny Han quickly went viral online, making it one of the most heart-melting fan-celebrity stories of the summer.

Gabbi: omg what thats the sweetest thing ever. Its good to see that the cast are better people in real life than they appear to be in the show

Louisa: haha I know right. However some people on the internet seem to disagree and thats where are actual crazy fan encounter come in

Gabbi: oooh okay im excited its sounds like its gonna be a good one

Louisa: still not as good as 1 direction, but basically Gavin Casalegno, who plays Jeremiah Fisher, received public death threats online from some viewers upset about his character’s actions and story arc. This was serious enough that Prime Video issued statements urging fans to stop the harassment. It went so far that The show’s official social accounts repeatedly reminded followers: “The show isn’t real but the people playing the characters are,” stressing that the actors are real human beings — not the fictional figures people are fighting over.

Gabbi: holy cow thats insane and not okay, people need to learn to separate from the characters and understand the idea of acting

Louisa: yea and tht wasnt even it- the Harassment wasn’t limited to threats — actors, including Gavin and co-stars like Lola Tung and Christopher Briney, have been targeted with insults and hostile messages on social media simply because of how fans felt about their characters. Like my sister and I fought with each other, but love the actors for both characters so would never ever do anything to them

Gabbi: yea that whole story is insane and you and your sister are the more reasonable ones here sounds like a good place to end this episode

Louisa: I agree, thank you for listening to the fan and the foe, we’ll see you next time

Gabbi: And don’t forget to stay nerdy

Louisa: or don't…

Music Credits:

Introduction

Website where you got the song from: YouTube Audio Library

Song Title: F16

Artist: The Grey Room/ Golden Palms

Licensing: YouTube Audio Library License

Outro

Song Title: Merry Go Round

Artist: Telecasted

Licensing: YouTube Audio Library

Connect with us on Social Media

@theHVSPN

https://fanfoe.captivate.fm/episode/the-summer-i-turned-into-a-pretty-huge-superfan

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/9b943164-17d8-4952-bfd3-4083fa8302b5/The-Fan-The-Foe-1-1.jpg"/>

<itunes:duration>11:05</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>false</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:episode>8</itunes:episode><podcast:episode>8</podcast:episode>

Major League Baseball: Majorly Obsessed Fans
<itunes:title>Major League Baseball: Majorly Obsessed Fans</itunes:title>

Hopewell Valley Student Podcasting Network

Show Name: The Fan and The Foe

Episode Title: Major League Baseball with Majorly Obsessed Fans

Gabbi: You are listening to The Fan and The Foe with your host(s) Gabbi and Louisa.

Louisa: In this episode of The Fan and The Foe we are discussing the world of sports, more specifically baseball!

Gabbi: Ewwww

Louisa: Hey! Basically the yankees were ahead by a lot in the fifth inning when it all went south. Gerritt Cole, the pitcher didn’t cover a base to get a simple out, and they was a catalyst for a whole lot of bad luck

Gabbi: ohhh So like they lost a game? Don't they lose like 60 every year and that's normal

Louisa: No, you don’t understand, they didn't just lose any game, they lost the most important game of the season. And I had to watch the dodgers win the world series right in front of me

Gabbi: oh no poor you

Louisa: you obviously dont understand do you

Gabbi: no I really don't see the big deal here.

Louisa: ugh you're so undereducated

Gabbi: you know how we can test that theory

Louisa: How

Gabbi: TRIVIAAAAA

Louisa: oooh good idea, you can show everyone how clueless you are in the world of sports.

Gabbi: Well start the trivia when we come back from this quick break.

Louisa: Okay we are back! Especially for the Yankees, who are from new york there are going to be some insane fan stories

Gabbi: oh god you have crazy sports fans and then you have crazy sports from NEW YORK however i don’t think they beat phillies and eagles fans ripping down telephones and tearing apart the city every time we win or lose a game.

Louisa: Oh yea they can get pretty intense. One not so crazy one came from this past season, or actually 2024 when a Yankees fan ripped a ball out of Mookie betts glove- hes a dodgers player of you didn't know- to try and prevent that out from happening

Gabbi: whatttt did anything happen to him, like that seems insane

Louisa: oh hes banned from life from baseball stadiums

Gabbi: as he should be for real haha

Louisa: Okay one more, while this one isn't necessarily an encounter, it shows the extreme dedication of sports fans.

Gabbi: ooh okay im excited to see if they're more dedicated than the hunger games fans

Louisa: oh they definitely are. So basically there was a fan who traveled to every game that Madison Bungarner started to watch him play

Gabbi: wow that is some serious dedication right there but if anyone is following you around like that across state lines its typically considered a federal offense of stalking and not a “very dedicated fan”

Louisa: well i know isn’t that insane the amount of money he must've spent for travel

Gabbi: I can't even imagine and he would have to pay for the games. Imagine all the actually exciting things he could've done with that money.

Louisa: Hey.. well I think that one about sums it up for today

Gabbi: I agree . It is extremely popular with younger kids, but there are also plenty of people, high schoolers and older who also loved this movie

Record breaking streams on netflix—> it got put into theaters sing along style

The movie brought together kpop and korean folklore and tied it all together with catchy lyrics and elaborate animations

The songs from the movie were so popular that they were on the radio and I can’t lie golden is a BOP.

Louisa: correction, it WAS a bop, now its just overplayed

Gabbi: you have to admit its super catchy

Louisa: Oh 100 percent, it totally was, but now it's a bit much. Its like WICKED, except wicked songs weren't overplayed so I still love them

Gabbi: OMG I just saw for good in theatres and it was SO GOOD, like Cynthia Erivo is an icon

Louisa: I gonna do something crazy, and actually agree with you

Gabbi: wow, what a rare occurrence

Louisa: I know right, but anyways Kpop demon hunters is definitely gonna take gen alpha by storm if it hasnt all ready

Gabbi: Its gonna be their High school musical

Louisa: How dare you make that comparison. An okay animated film against one of the most iconic franchises to ever exist for teens. I think not.

Gabbi: fine maybe that was a bit much, but you get the point

Ok now lets do my favorite part where louisa has even less clue about whats going on then normal.. Trivia!!!!! But first, a quick break where you can hear about one of our friends' podcasts!!

Segment 2: Banter and Trivia

1. All members synchronize perfectly

Segment 3: Fan encounter

Louisa: Now it's time for everyone's favorite part: the crazy fan encounter!! So as this movie is relatively new, and animated, it was a little difficult to find a story crazy enough to match some of the past ones.

Gabbi: yea that can get really hard sometimes, especially because there isn’t really anything controversial in this movie.

Louisa: Exactly. The extent to which I found these quotes on quote fan encounters, was a little 5 year old screaming golden in an H mart where one of the actresses were.

Gabbi: aww thats not crazy, thats so cute

Louisa: I know right. So, I know that's boring, so I went ahead and found some fan encounters with other K-pop groups, and was not disappointed.

Gabbi: OOh okay now were talking

Louisa: okay, so of course you know BTS, because literally who doesn't

Gabbi: ofc ofc

Louisa: Well, their fans would intentionally crash their car into the car holding the BTS members to try and intercept them and take photos.

Gabbi: Excuse me what. Do they not realize they could literally kill them in the process

Louisa: I know, like what.

Gabbi: I can't even wrap my head around that. So I think we should stop there

Louisa: I agree

Gabbi: Thank you for listening to the Fan and The foe

Louisa: We'll see you next time.

Gabbi: and don’t forget to stay nerdy

Louisa: Or don't

Hopewell Valley Student Podcasting Network

Show Name: The Fan & The Foe

Episode Title: 1 Direction, 1 Crazy Fandom

You are listening to The Fan and the Foe podcast with your host(s) Gabbi and Louisa.

In this episode of The Fan and the Foe we will be discussing One Direction, and the crazy fans that follow them.

Segment 1: 1D background and rise to fame

Gabbi: In 2010 4 British and 1 Irish guys came on to essentially the British equivalent of America's got Talent, called the x-factor, Simon Cowell included, they came as soloists and left as the biggest boy band since the Backstreet Boys.

They released the absolute banger What Makes You Beautiful that is still played at every school function, wedding and grocery store that I've ever been to, even 15 years later. But hey! Everyone knows it's fantastic so why not.

Originally there were 5 members of 1D, Liam Paine, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, and Niall Horan and together they release 4 albums, Zayn left the group after a fall out and then they released their last album before they went on what they called an “18 month hiatus” which ten years later fans are still waiting for a comeback from. Y'know I too am waiting for a new 1D song or album or better yet a tour, but it'll never be the same as liam passed this year.

Candlelight vigil on hiatus

Up all night

Take me home

Midnight memories

Made in the AM

Four

They have all had very successful solo careers

Segment 2: Banter and Trivia

Louisa: On a scale of 1 to 10, how unhinged are you people?

Gabbi: like… a 15. Minimum.

Louisa: . See? You didn’t even hesitate.

Gabbi: There’s nothing to hesitate about! We were dedicated and committed. And probably Willing to go to war in a mall parking lot for a guy

Louisa: You say that like it’s normal.

Gabbi:if you heard a rumor that Harry was spotted at a random Whole Foods, wouldn’t you sprint there?

Louisa: uhhh No! I’d continue buying groceries like a sane person, but maybe want to crop a picture but like that's it! He's a person too and deserves to have his own space and function like a normal human being. But I know you would abandon carts, and dignity.

Gabbi: Dignity was never part of the One Direction experience. That’s step one but you wouldn't get out. You get in the fandom, you hand over your dignity, you pick up a poster, write a fan fiction and then you scream!

Louisa: Honestly that sounds like joining a cult. Common theme huh. Maybe we should rename this podcast so it reflects cults instead of fandoms

Gabbi: But it is a fun cult, though.

Louisa: CUTE? Gabbi, you people tracked flight numbers.

Gabbi: Okay okay thats wierd

Louisa: This is why I can't be with you and your logic sometimes. You treat every bit of information like it’s national security intelligence.

Gabbi: Because it was to some people I guess! At any moment, the members could appear.

Louisa: You’re describing it like One Direction was the Hunger Games.

Gabbi: Hunger games??!!! I love the hunger games

Louisa: I swear to God.

Gabbi: you said it first

Louisa: Okay but honestly… Why are y’all so loud? Like astronomically loud. You could probably hear a Directioner scream from two zip codes away because I read there were so many noise complaints around concerts.

Gabbi: Because we have feelings duhh,

Louisa: loud ones…

Gabbi: Hey.

Louisa: I get emotional too but like never to the point where I’m sobbing so hard I can’t breathe because Liam winked.

Gabbi: Finee, but like who wouldnt want liam to wink at them yk

Louisa: whatever dude

Gabbi: Anyways, i think we should bring back the trivia, so I'm going to give you three questions to answer

Louisa: oooh okay, trying to distract me from winning this argument I see

Gabbi: whatever whatever. Anyways, Ill give you the questions then weet cur for a break, and return with your answers: :

Louisa: sounds good

Gabbi:

So 4 of the 5 band members are British but one of them is from Ireland. Guess who? (niall)

Even though the band was suuuper successful they didn’t even win the x-factor. What did they place? But we actually also found some rituals or information that you needed to know if you wanted to be considered a REAL 1D stan.

Gabbi: …I think I may know where this is going

Louisa: Well there's only one way you would know…

Gabbi: No. I never participated in said activity.

Louisa: Okay then…anyways, basically, in order to be declared a true 1D fan, you had to know each of the members blood types.

Gabbi: yup. I saw that coming

Louisa: And GAbbi, get this: If you wanted to be a super 1D stan, you had to know their blood types, birth times AND family information.

Gabbi: That's creepy. Like actually obsessive psychopathic behavior

Louisa: I KNOW. like there's no way they're in the right mind.

Gabbi: yea, they definitely aren't

Louisa: Okay one more fan encounter to keep on with tradition here. While this isn’t one specific instance, I think it still deserved to be mentioned because it's something very prominent within the 1D community. Basically, people- boys and girls- write fan fictions about the members of the band, then either mail them to them, or give them to them after shows.

Gabbi: I mean I think that as weird as that may be, it has become normalized by so many people.

Louisa: What? There's nothing normal about that.

Gabbi: I mean there's definitely not but so many people do it now, that it's not some foreign concept.

Louisa: I guess that's fair, but definitely think it's a good ending point for this week's episode.

Gabbi: Well see you next time, and, as always stay nerdy

Louisa: Or don’t!

Music Credits:

Introduction

Website where you got the song from: YouTube Audio Library

Song Title: F16

Artist: The Grey Room/ Golden Palms

Licensing: YouTube Audio Library License

Outro

Song Title: Merry Go Round

Artist: Telecasted

Licensing: YouTube Audio Library

Connect with us on Social Media

@theHVSPN

https://fanfoe.captivate.fm/episode/k-pop-demon-hunter-fans-soda-pop-off

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/9b943164-17d8-4952-bfd3-4083fa8302b5/The-Fan-The-Foe-1-1.jpg"/>

<itunes:duration>08:48</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>false</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:episode>6</itunes:episode><podcast:episode>6</podcast:episode>

1 Direction, 1 Crazy Fandom
<itunes:title>1 Direction, 1 Crazy Fandom</itunes:title>

Typically, I'm the most avid follower in the studio, but today,my\y Louisa might have me beat, she is a pretty big Disney fan.

Louisa: BUT I WILL NOT BE A DISNEY ADULT. LET ME MAKE THAT CLEAR

Gabbi: Okay,y, okay. But anyways…Disney World is widely acknowledged as the most magical place in the world. But there are many magical places because the Disney franchise has parks all over the world, there are 2 locations in the US, Tokyo, Paris, and China. Louisa has actually been to the Paris parks. Why don’t you tell us a bit about how it was different from a park in the US?

Louisa: Ooooh, okay. I loved Disneyland Paris, because it was so easy to get to: all you had to do was take a train. The rides were also good because they were aimed towards an older audience, which I find some of theDisneyy parks lack. And of course, the food was also amazing.

Gabbi: Wow, you definitely know a bit more than I do. What do you think about cryogenic freezing?

Louisa: Whoa, what? Where did that come from, haah. That was quite the pivot.

Gabbi: Well, yeah, I had to catch you off guard there. There's a rumor that Walt Disney is frozen to be reincarnated one day.

Louisa: Oh, well, I have heard that. I think it's a bit odd, but I guess it's kinda cool. I wouldn’t personally do it, but who am I to judge?

Gabbi: I think that's fair. And that's the least weird thing we're going to mention today.

Louisa: That's for sure.

Gabbi Fromm, what I do know, the whole franchise is built upon a series of movies and shows in which iconic characters like Mickey Mouse, Olaf, and Snow White all come from, along with all the other Disney characters, princesses, and villains alike.

Louisa: How dare you forget the ride?. The rides are why people go to Disney. I am still so pissed off that they got rid of the Rockin’ Rollercoaster. That was the best ride they have had, and now they're rebranding it.

Gabbi: Sorry for your loss. But Disney is also responsible for making New York the family-friendly tourist attraction it is today. Along with the governor of New York, Disney worked to make Broadway safer and a place people wanted to take their families. They opened their first show, Beauty and the Beas, and it was an automatic hit. It revolutionized the whole New York experience and made it somewhere everyone wanted to go.

My first Broadway show was The Lion King, which is just SO good.

Segment 2: Banter over Disney adults

Louisa: I think we can both agree that there is one type of fan who always goes way too far with their love of Disney, and that is the Disney adult.

Gabbi: Disney adults freak me out. Like grown humans crying because they saw a guy in a mouse costume?

Louisa: They just really love the magic, I guess, but like go see a magician tf.

Gabbi: Magic? It’s a $200-a-day theme park and a forty-minute line for a mid-tasting churro. That’s not magic.

Louisa: It’s nostalgia! They’re reliving the best parts of childhood….right?

Gabbi: Yeah, except childhood ends for a reason. You can’t be forty with a Disney backpack and still call it “core memory building.”

Louisa: Honestly, if it makes people happy, who cares? At least they’re not, like, crime-obsessed podcast people.

Gabbi: I’d prefer a murder podcast obsession! At least that’s grounded in reality. You can’t argue with evidence. You can argue with a thirty-year-old sobbing over “It’s a Small World.”

Louisa: Okay, but admit it—the fireworks are amazing.

Gabbi: Sure, but I don’t ugly cry every time Tinker Bell flies by on a wire.

Louisa: Maybe that’s because you’ve lost your inner child.

Gabbi: Or maybe I just don’t need a mouse to validate my emotions.

Louisa: You’re missing out. There’s something kind of pure about it.

Gabbi: Pure? That’s what cult leaders say right before they sell you themed popcorn buckets.

Louisa: Fine, fine. Maybe it’s really weird.

Gabbi: Really weird? Louisa, they got married at Disney. With Mickey officiating.

Louisa: Okay, that part I can’t defend

Segment 3: Disney adult stories

Louisa: So this may have been the easiest one to find so far because there are so many Disney adults who do some wild things. There was someone who posted something asking for the craziest things they’ve ever seen Disney adults do, and the results were more than shocking.

Gabbi: I mean, I would assume they would be crazy, but HOW crazy could they actually get?

Louisa, you don’t want to know

Gabbi: We'll see about that…

Louisa: Should we start with the craziest or the least craziest story

Gabbi: Let's start, mils, then get crazier

Louisa: Sounds good! The least outrageous thing that was commented on was someone who said they witnessed a grown woman crying and screaming on the floor of Disney World because she couldn't cut the line to see Mickey first.

Gabbi: So a full-grown adult throwing a tantrum is the LEAST crazy thing on that post???

Louisa: Yup!

Gabbi: Wow.

Louisa: Okay, second up, someone’s aunt legally changed their last name to Mouse to be one with Mickey and Minnie, I guess.

Gabbi: That's a bit odd, but you do you, I guess!

Louisa: I guess…. Last but not least, the craziest thing I read was that pregnant women were purposefully trying to give birth in the Disney parks. Like would go for a week in a row when they were due to try to have a Disney baby from birth.

Gabbi: I have heard a theory that if you give birth in a Disney park, that baby gets free passes for life

Louisa: Well, maybe that's the way to go then, because thoseDisneyy passes are not cheap…

Gabbi: I would still not go through all that trouble…

Louisa: Yeahh, I’d have to agree with you there. I think that wraps this episode up. We hope you enjoyed it!

Gabbi: And don’t’t forget to stay nerdy

Louisa- Or don’t…

Music Credits:

Introduction

Website where you got the song from: YouTube Audio Library

Song Title: F16

Artist: The Grey Room/ Golden Palms

Licensing: YouTube Audio Library License

Website where you got the song from: YouTube Audio Library

Song Title: Cooked

Artist: The Grey Room/ Golden Palms

Licensing: YouTube Audio Library License

Connect with us on Social Media

@theHVSPN

https://fanfoe.captivate.fm/episode/ep4

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/9b943164-17d8-4952-bfd3-4083fa8302b5/The-Fan-The-Foe-1-1.jpg"/>

<itunes:duration>09:12</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>false</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:episode>4</itunes:episode><podcast:episode>4</podcast:episode>

Hunger Games: District Discourse
<itunes:title>Hunger Games: District Discourse</itunes:title>

Hopewell Valley Student Podcasting Network

Show Name: The Fan & The Foe

Episode Title: The Hunger Games

You are listening to The Fan and the Foe podcast with your host(s) Gabbi and Louisa.

In this episode of The Fan and The Foe, the Podcast, we discuss: The Hunger Games! The funniest one I could find was that fans had so much sympathy for the victors in the games that a fan performed a real-world act of rebellion or violence.

Gabbi: That's only funny depending on what they did…

Louisa: Yeah, that's very true, and based on the fact I couldn’t find what it was, I think it was probably pretty bad.

Gabbi: yeah…

Louisa: Well, while this one isn’t really a fan encounter, it speaks to the intensity and craziness of the show. Basically, I'm not sure, Gabbi, if you've seen this or even participated in it, but the Hunger Games fan gets into some intense debates on social media based on different theories or opinions.

Gabbi: I will neither confirm nor deny if I have participated in said debate.

Louisa: So I’m just gonna give you the benefit of the doubt here.
