There are triangular shaped bread pieces, with a choice of fillings that are plain with cheese and pepper, red sauce, and more, leaving you with a warm tasting dish for your day. It can be found at the lower east side, orchard street.

Now, street food in New York City! *Horn honking*

There's many delicious foods outside of restaurants that New York has to offer. I love desserts from all over New York. And the good thing about New York, is that since there are a whole bunch of different cuisines, there is something for everyone! Welcome to the eighth episode of our podcast, “Food Away From Home (World Tour)”, with your hosts Annie, Cece, and Shiv. In this episode, we're going to be talking about the different foods that you can find in Argentina, and where they can be found. Let's get started!

Segment 1: Different Regions and landscapes.

Cece: Argentina has many different landscapes like mountains, as well as different regions. Let's get into some of these different areas!

Shiv: Argentina which is soooo beautiful, is split into 4 different regions, which are the andes, The north, the pampas, and Patagonia

Shiv: The Andes are the western mountains, and the highest mountain range outside of Asia. These mountains look absolutely ANGELIC! They are extremely pointy and imperfect, but that is what makes them so beautiful. The highest peak in the Andes mountains is Mount Anaconda which reaches a height of 22,831 feet or 6,959 meters. Insane!

Shiv:the north, This region is extremely rustic and breathtaking, there are a lot of colorful mountains and salt flats that connect to deep indigenous roots. The scenery has a lot of vibrant natural colors like shades of yellow, orange, brown, and greens.

Shiv: The pampas are known for their rich soil and fertile land that is amazing for agriculture. There is a TON of open land in this region, and like the other regions it's super elegant and has a lot of natural tones like brown and green. This land also serves as the Southwest’s “bread basket” for cattle wheat.

Shiv: And lastly Patagonia, which is easily the MOST breathtaking out of all of these regions as it is surrounded by beautiful trees and icy mountains. The overall climate is really cold, but very suitable for tourism because of its magical scenery and crystal clear lake. Fun fact, the jacket brand Patagonia was inspired by the mystical south american landscape, I actually have my own blue-teal Patagonia jacket at home! And my dad is basically obsessed with them because they have a lot of high-quality jackets for lower prices than most popular jacket brands.

Shiv: There are also beautiful waterfalls, and rainforests all over Argentina, like

Iguazu Falls: A spectacular waterfall system on the border with Brazil, a major natural wonder ,and <a...

Annie: What’s up guys? Welcome to the FIFTH episode of our podcast, “Food Away From Home (World Tour)”, with your hosts Annie, Cece, and Shiv. In this episode, we're going to be talking about the amazing, unique, and diverse foods that you can find in Dubai, and where they can be found, as well as the experiences too! Let's get started!

Segment 1: Dubai vs. Abu Dhabi

Cece: There is a main difference between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are both on the coast of the UAE or United Air Emirates. Let's get into some of the differences between the two places. Start us off Annie!

Annie: Thanks Cece! Dubai is more fast paced and modern structured. It is more focused on shopping, entertainment, and still busy and exciting at night. There is a main spot in Dubai that is designed for shopping and entertainment. This area is by the Burj Kalifia, which is famous for being the tallest freestanding building in the world. You can go inside of it and there is an elevator that takes you to the top. From there you can go to a viewing deck at the top and look over the city. This tall tower took a duration of 6 years to complete.

Abu Dhabi on the other hand is more traditional and quieter with less tourists, but people still go through to look around. People tend to call it more religious. The key feature of Abu Dhabi is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which is a key religious place in Abu Dhabi. It is created with white, marble material and has many columns. It is beautiful and I highly recommend going there and viewing it.

There is also a Louvre, like the one in Paris in Abu Dhabi, which is a museum. The Jumeirah Burj Al Arab is a giant, sail shaped hotel on its own island. It is quite expensive, but definitely a fantastic investment. Abu Dhabi is a more culturally based place and offers a more traditional culture and visit. I highly recommend visiting one of these, if not both of these places.

Annie: Now, stay tuned to hear about some popular foods, because you will not want to miss this.

Segment 2: Popular foods and Sweets/Snacks

Annie: And we are back! Welcome to the SEVENTH episode of our podcast, “Food Away From Home (World Tour)”, with your hosts Annie :), Cece :), and Shiv :). DREAM GUEST…NOAAAAA In this episode, we're going to be talking about the amazing, unique, and fascinating foods that you can find in FRANCE, and where they can be found. Let's get started!

*Noa include anything you want in between lines! Just give us a little wave or hand and we'll stop talking, and let you include whatever you want! :)) *

Segment 1: Coastal vs. Central…Plus Monaco!!

Shiv: France is a very large, and touristic country. It can go from Le Cannes, which is near the coastal region of France, to your favourite, PaRiSSSSsss (say in French Accent)! Stretching from these vast regions of land, there are millions of diverse cultures, traditions, beautiful language, things to do, and you guessed it, FOOD!!

Annie: Let's start with Le Cannes. It is a super-DUPER-TROUPER touristic and amazing part of France. It is located near The Bay of Cannes, and it is where many French citizens and tourists from all over the world go to see the beautiful French sea. It is found in the Southern, very tip of France, at the very end. It is very close to Monaco, which is its own little country, located in France.

Short Story break: Cece: I want to live there so bad!! I love Monaco. I’ve never been, but I hear it is such a beautiful, and extraordinary place. I would really want to visit Monte Carlo, which is a very famous, fancy, and unique port-like city in Monaco, where all the celebrities are-F1 drivers, soccer players, singers, and more….It’s basically like the Hollywood or Las Vegas of Europe! Anyways-it sure is next on my list of things to do! But Alas, let’s get back into France!!

--------Shiv and Annie add in thoughts if they would like

Annie: Haha, thanks for sharing Cece. As I was saying, Le Cannes is also near an island called, Iles De Lerin, located just underneath Le Cannes, as well as Le Cannes is near Antibes, and Cap D’Antibes, a resort town, known for its vintage-ness and luxury! But what else makes Le Cannes so special? Well, Its INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, OF COURSEE!!!!!! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

In 2026, it will be Le Cannes: 79th edition of the international film festival! WOO!!!!! It is known as a market for those professionals in the film-industry, and it showcases many different movie genres, such as blockbusters and movies in general! Many of these movies are international, and can even be from here, in New Jersey!

----Shiv and Cece maybe add in some thoughts

Annie: Paris is the capital of France, and home of the all-famous Eiffel Tower! Paris gets over a million tourists each year, and houses some of the best experiences as well as foods, that we shall most definitely talk about! Paris is a very large city, located in the center of France, near Versailles, andddd DISNEYLAND PARIS….

Cece: WHATTTT!!! DISNEY???

Shiv: NOOOOO!!! I WANNA GOOOO!!!

Annie: Yup! You heard that right, DISNEY IN PARIS!!-Could it get any better?????

Cece: Wait!!! Story time!!!

I remember now! Well, I used to live in France, a little outside Paris, in a place called Croazi. But keep in mind, this was like when I was two or three hahaha! As I was looking through photos from when I was little, I saw pictures of me when I was in Disneyland, and turns out, it was in PARIS! Quite the deja vu, am I right??

Segment 2: Popular foods and Sweets/Snacks

Annie: France has a very large variety of really delicious foods. It is part of the Iberian Peninsula, next to Spain. It is on the Atlantic Ocean, which influenced its many cultures and traditions, as well as foods and trade throughout history. The flag is dark green and dark red, having green represent hope for Portugal’s future and fate, and red being the blood of those who died for their country. The symbol on the flag of Portugal, represents its Age of Exploration and maritime travel and trade. All in all, Portugal is an amazing, and beautiful country that needs to be visited.

-- There are so many unique, fun, and amazing experiences you can do in Portugal. From its awesome beaches, interesting as well as fascinating castles, super good food, and amazing things to explore and experience. Lets get into some of the best things to do in Portugal:

Annie and cece

There are many wonderful resorts that you can visit in Portugal to make your experience even better.

I have been to Villa Bicuda and it was such a great experience. Not only are the people super nice, putting the whole environment together is amazing. The villas, or small little town houses, were beautiful, even though they were small, they were very modern, and cute, as well as there was room cleaning every day, making it just a perfect experience. They had pools, which were neatly and nicely kept, as well as the lawns and everything was just gorgeous. The villa I stayed at had a balcony, and so I would always go there to do homework, or just relax, which was really nice. It also has many accessible things, such as a kitchen that has everything you need, great A.C, cute bathrooms, and nice rooms.

The beaches in Portugal are amazing. Wherever you go, there is just a huge, and vast, ocean that meets your eyes-the only problem is the water can be a little cold, because since Portugal is located right on the Iberian peninsula, on the Atlantic ocean, strong winds as well as harsh rip currents are very popular on the beaches of Portugal-however that is why it is such a great place to surf in! Wherever you go for beaches, you can always see surfers in the waves, doing amazing tricks. Being located where it is, Portugal can get many sharks, making it a little dangerous, but the sharks always stay far from the shores, so don't worry 🙂!!!!

Portugal is known for its ports! Welcome back to our podcast, “Food Away From Home (World Tour)”, with your hosts Annie, Cece, and Shiv. In this episode, we will be exploring the variety of popular foods and sweets from Italian cultures, as well as the differences between the Northern and Southern parts of Italy. Now we'll hand this off to Cece.

Segment 1: North vs. Southern Italy

Cece: Thank you Annie! Being Italian, born in Rome, I can tell you that Italy is a place not-to-be missed. Italy is a bright, unique, and amazing place, with many different cultures, and traditions, making it special, and different from other parts of the world. In this segment, we will be talking about the Northern parts of Italy, versus the Southern parts of Italy, and what makes them similar and different. Now, we will hand this off to Shiv:

Shiv: In Northern Italy, the foods vary more from pasta, meats and fish, as well as more heavy, and filling dishes, due to the cold climate.

They use a lot of butter, cream, and cheese. Fun fact, “cheese” in Italian is called “Formaggio”.

They also use a lot of grains, such as rice and corn. These ingredients help with forming “Polenta”, a potato and grain dish with red sauce toppings, very good, and “Risotto”, a bowl of rice with any choice of fillings.

Lots of herbs are used as well, going from rosemary to basil, and thyme as well.

They are used to add more flavor to the dishes, and make them more aromatic and fragrant.

Northern places in Italy can include the mountainside, “Alpi” or “Dolomite”, which are very important and touristic mountain ranges in Italy. Some mountain ranges and Northern places in Italy also are very close to Austria, making the people there bilingual and cross-cultural, due to how they are both Austrian and Italian. Meran and Tyrol, are one of these places

Cece’s been to Meran, and personally, it is one of her favorite places to visit when going to the Northern part of Italy.

It is part Austrian and Italian, so you see people that speak Austrian and Italian as well as English.

It consists of certain meats called “Wiener Scnitzel”, which is a breaded, as well as fried, veal cutlets, which is meat from younger calves of cows. It is very good, and perfect for a winter-weather meal.

There is also a pasta meal called “Spaetzle”, which is a type of pasta with shorter, and smaller pieces of pasta dough making it up, and it goes very well with plain and sausages, spinach filled spaetzle with small pieces of bacon or ham, and also with plain spaetzle with small pieces of fresh caught salmon. Spaetzle are known for going with plain ingredients, and would not go very well with red sauce. Spaetzle are Cece’s favorite pasta meals when going to the Northern parts of Italy.

In the Northern areas there are more focuses on meats, such as cows, calves, lamb, rabbit, pig, and sheep.

When going to Italy, and when it comes to having a nice filling meal on a cold day, you should definitely take a trip to Northern Italy, and visit Meran or Tyrol....

Introduction:

Annie: What’s up guys?

When going to Italy, and when it comes to having a nice filling meal on a cold day, you should definitely take a trip to Northern Italy, and visit Meran or Tyrol.

Then there is the countryside, like Umbria and Peruggia, where Cece’s grandpa is from (Todi). The countryside can be found anywhere in Italy, and they also have many amazing foods.

Having many sorts of “farm or tavern” aspects and restaurants, they serve a lot of meats like lamb, sheep, cows, calves, rabbits, and chicken.

They also are experts in pasta, and have a specialty of “Pasta al Tartufo” which is plain pasta with some cream and truffle, and it is very very good, perfect for both a delicious lunch as well as dinner.

Finally there is the South of Italy, where it is warmer, and typically more tropical.

You can go to some islands off the coast of Italy, such as Capri, which would serve you a lot of very good fish, as well as pasta.

You can also go very South to Sicily, which is the closest region of Italy to Africa, it is very hot, and it has a lot of fish, pasta, and gelato options for food. Cece has been to Sicily, and describes it as one of the best places she has ever been to. It is beautiful; the scenery of the beaches and the transparent-turquoise waters, the good food, the nice people, the cool language and accents, and the weather.

There is also Sardegna which is very famous for its amazing beaches, weather scenery as well as its very good food.

Calabria also has very good scenery and food, beautiful waters and beaches as well.

In the South, the foods are also highly “packed” and filling, even though the temperatures are warmer.

They focus more on fish instead of meat, due to the fact that they are more coastal.

However there is always a great deal of pasta.

There is also a lot of gelato and pastries.

The people are very lively-more than in the North.

The language and accents are thicker and different than those of Rome.

Cece has visited more of the Northern areas than the South, and prefers the Northern food more.

There is also the center of Italy, where Rome, or Lazio, is, and it has a great deal of everything; pasta, gelato, pastries, meats, fish, and vegetables as well. And pizza.

Being from Rome, cece has had the most food from Rome, especially at her grandmas house 🙂 😀

Cece jumps in: Yes my grandmother is town-wide known for her famous “Pomodori con il riso” which are stuffed tomatoes with rice and then surrounding grilled vegetables, and “Gnocchi al sugo”, which are small little circular pieces of dough for pasta with red sauce made from scratch at home. She takes pride in her meals and always tries to teach me when I come over……..it does not end well haha 👍

Segment 2: Popular foods

Shiv: There are many delicious foods in Italy.
