Over the longer term, relationships need to be improved so that men feel it is normal to want to engage in research, or quite simply, go to the doctors. </p><p>Whether it's by Distraction, a side-by-side technique or longer term engagement, men don't get involved because they don't want to, they likely assume that this stuff just takes care of itself. </p><p>Many men are seeking help with various different aspects of their lives. The Healthcare system is not set up for men, and that's something we have to realise. Men will often leave ‘an issue’ until the last minute and then want it dealt with immediately. That's also not how the healthcare system works.</p><p>To get men to engage with research and the healthcare system, we need to incentivise and recruit them.
