De Koning Boudewijnstichting (KBS) is de grootste stichting van België. Ze werd opgericht in 1976, ter gelegenheid van de 25ste verjaardag van koning Boudewijn, en groeide uit tot een filantropische instelling met honderden fondsen en duizenden betrokken experts. In 2017 gaf de stichting niet minder dan 40 miljoen euro uit. Vandaag gaat het om meer dan vijf keer zoveel.

Die exponentiële groei vraagt om stevige structuren en nieuwe governance. “We beheren honderden miljoenen euro en de legitimiteit van onze beslissingen moet absoluut overeind blijven,” zegt Van Damme.

In line with the sanitary regulations, the GUBERNA Director’s Day took place on 23 February 2021 as a fully digital event, combining joint sessions - broadcasted live from the GUBERNA Home of Governance – with interactive breakout sessions in small digital groups.  It is our pleasure to share with you a summary of this event.
