"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain." A fitting quote for today's society. People go viral for with the best of intentions and as the fame lingers, so does the chance for these individuals to become "exposed". Once exposed, slowly we see these individuals become villainous by happenstance. Let's be honest with ourselves, we are the "good" guy in the story of our lives. Rarely do we ever sit back and wonder, whether or not we are the villain's in someone else's story. It is that inability to be totally honest with ourselves that has led us towards becoming more distant, more harsh, more cold towards one another. Once we rip the Band-Aid off our self-righteousness, we will begin to see the others perspective. Support this podcast

Influencers, content creators, Instagrammers, and TikTok'ers are all going to extremes lengths to produce and distribute content. Often times, it's at the detriment of other people. Or worst yet, at the exploitation of serious and life altering situations. I'm not a fan of any of that. While I understand the need to monetize on content, I feel that abusing that and putting people lives at risk is the slippery slope of moral degradation of society. Carry on I suppose, cuz y'all are looking ridiculous trying to carry gasoline in a plastic bag. Just so you know, gasoline doesn't run out. We have copious (a lot) amounts coming from overseas. Not to mention our own oil reserves we have yet to touch in Alaska, Texas, and various other places in the U.S. But, please, continue to fill every container you own with gasoline. It's really interesting to watch the media create and perpetuate beef with one another. You have Fox News calling out news anchors from MSNBC, you have YouTube political commentators calling out each other left and right, yet, we sit here and gobble it all up. People fall for the political drama and even go as far as to defend these TV personalities. Often it's drilled into our heads that the media is manipulating you, controlling your thoughts and feelings. It's all true. Media is controlling you and you're letting them get away with it. I think it's time that we take control of our own thoughts and start to think rationally. Support this podcast

There's a pattern on YouTube about relationship advice and how we talk about relationships. I still stress that we are mere juveniles when it comes to the dating world, and I'm proven right constantly when I scroll through YouTube. In any case, there seems to be this disgruntled argument that men ain't sh*t and woman ain't sh*t. If we drop the B.S we will see that neither of us are worth the salt we sweat and to find someone you are compatible with and settle down. Until we learn to mature our views on relationships, we will always have this toxic view of what a relationship should be. Support this podcast

We Lack Humanity

With the guilty verdict of Derek Chauvin, I've noticed that some people celebrated, and some people thought it was the wrong decision. Regardless of where you land on the spectrum, I've noticed a very disturbing pattern if you will. I've noticed that we as human beings, have some how lost our humanity. With all of the police killings, bombings, mass shootings, we've come to defend the actions of murderers, than stand up for the victims. We've used the horrible actions of others in a political manner to gain clout, rather than to make the necessary changes in the world. And this is truly a sad thing. Support this podcast

Toxic Relationships

Recently there's been a string of examples of what toxic relationships look like. We had the Derrick Jaxn cheating scandal. We had the Quavo and Saweetie elevator incident. There was Married At First Sight examples, where couples exhibited an ample amount of selfishness in their relationships. Then there's Flightreact, who was livestreaming when his (ex)girlfriend showed up to his house unannounced and created drama for the his live streamers to see. Once the cameras were off, so did the gloves. See good people, these are not good examples of what a healthy relationship should look like. These examples are clear cut examples of what toxic relationships are. We definitely need to shift our viewpoint of what a relationship is and how we should act within them. In light of the whole Derrick Jaxn drama, hopefully people are becoming more aware about how corny relationship guru's are. They don't give good advice and they only pander to what you want to hear. That's not giving advice at all. If you want some truth and some real advice, listen to Kevin Samuels. That brotha is handing out the solid advice left, right and center. Originally, I lumped this man with others who pander and give bad advice, but after listening to a couple of his shows, I realize that he's actually trying to help. His brand of truth telling isn't for everyone, but it's needed. Anyways, morale of the story, if you want a good relationship, fix yourself and grow up. All of those actions, decisions, and indecisions have lead me to be the person that I am now. Yet, I can't help but wonder, why am I fixated on what was, could've been, or what might have been? Digging deeper, I've concluded, I haven't made peace with my former self. All of those actions and decisions have lingered, because I've made a valiant effort to avoid them. This has held me back from truly becoming who I want to become, and from fully enjoying the life that I have created for myself. Sure, we can make arguments that true happiness lies in the relationships and bonds we form in our lifetime, but let's be real, if we had a surplus of money, we'd be much happier! I'm tired of pretending that not having money isn't a problem. Look we just witnessed billionaire Hedge Fund tank a stock! We've watched in disgust, as congress "debate" giving us a stimulus check. We've watched companies, gain billions in the midst of a pandemic, while regular hard working folks get laid off their jobs. I'm over the lies. Money does in fact cure all. It's time we accept it. Growing up, most of us loved going to our cousin's house. That's where a lot of your childhood memories are made. We stop going over as much, we stop calling as much, we've pretty much been reduced to just following each other on social media to be honest. Why is that? I this episode, I talk about the idea that the first amendment is under siege. I have come across a lot of conservatives (a good majority of which are my friends) talking about how the 1st amendment is under attack by big tech. I found this idea to be wrong and a gross exaggeration of simple censorship. I'm not for censorship, but to say that our 1st amendment rights are under attack is ridiculous. Another common talking point I've been hearing a lot among conservatives, is that they are being censored as well by big tech. Once again, I have to disagree. I'll admit that big tech does step out of line. Actually they're habitual line steppers, but they aren't censoring conservative thought. It's getting ridiculous to be honest. It seems that the group of people who like to call anyone who has a differing opinion a snowflake, are actually snowflakes. Support this podcast

If not, they are claiming that the election is "rigged". It's getting to the point that, I don't know how to go about talking to these people. Trump derangement is a real thing and I'm honestly, quite concerned for a large portion of my friends. False narrative about the election results continue to be copied and pasted all over social media. At this point, it is a direct threat to our democracy. As I finished the episode, I started to ponder a bit about he's running for President, does it make sense for him to, and is he really a genius? Snake Oil Salesman

I'll be honest, I find it quite unfortunate, that we have a political system that was created "for the people, by the people", yet sit back and watch the very people they represent suffer. The rich get richer, while the poor gets screwed. Yet, we are told, if we vote for these individuals, they will "fix" the problem within our country. We vote. They get elected. Nothing changes. Cycle repeats itself. Instead of finding viable solutions to the toxic relationship, we instead turn on each other. While turning on each other, we create echo chambers of think tanks whose sole purpose is to make money. We fight. They profit. All the while selling on the notion, that if we truly want change, we have to align with their ways of thinking, buy their books, buy their merchandise, because they only have the "solutions" to fix what's wrong with our society. You buy, their books, their merchandise and realize, there is no cure. Just a collection of word vomit and false ideologies. We get mad. They continue to profit. Cycle continues. I've noticed that within our society, we've began to place more and more importance on status, power, money, and other material things rather than family, friends, and kinship. I believe this has led us down a misfortune path as a society, as we do not care for our fellow neighbors like we used to. It's all about "me and mines" and chasing that paper. Which in turn, leads us to chasing things that don't really hold any true value or importance. We worship negative ideals and various other false "Gods" instead of good virtuous ideals. Though I fully support your right to boycott such things, I find your cause to be flawed. It's a weird internal struggle to be honest. On one hand, boycotts have lead to a lot of positive changes throughout history. Yet, in this moment in history, boycotts have denigrated into mere tweets voicing displeasure about some obscure cause you are fighting for. Pretty much, boycotting has become the adult way of throwing a temper tantrum, because athletes and corporations aren't doing what you want them to do. I was listening to The Roommates YouTube channel where the host, Hafeez Baku, was talking about never dating a woman that doesn't want to date you. In this episode, he goes on to give a lot of great points about why you shouldn't date a woman that doesn't want to be with you. For the most part, I agreed with Hafeez, as dating someone who doesn't want you, will only lead to major problems within the relationship. Where I disagreed with Hafeez, is when he stated, "I want the woman I am going to be with, to treat me like her #1 draft pick". That statement isn't bad or wrong or anything, it's just it doesn't make a lot of sense in this scenario. There have been a lot of #1 draft picks that haven't panned out in the NFL, because they didn't fit the scheme. (Don't) Shut Up And Dribble

Whenever there is a hot social issue that takes place, our athletes are at the forefront fighting that battle. Unfortunately, they almost always told, "shut up and dribble". Here's the thing, if our athletes aren't allowed to give voice to the voiceless, then who will? Because, let's be honest, the average black man, will almost always be silenced before he has a chance to say anything. The tragedy of Jacob Blake being shot 7x's in the back in Kenosha Wisconsin, shows very clearly, that there is a huge bias in how police officers handle black men vs. white men when they commit crimes (allegedly). I for one, am glad that Lebron James and various other athletes are using their platforms to give voice to those that truly and desperately needs it. I wish race problems weren't a thing, but the string of unfortunate shootings, leads me to believe otherwise. Athletes, please continue to use your platform to continue the fight for equality. We Could Use A Little Empathy

A couple of weeks ago, Ben Shapiro posted his daily upload to YouTube in which he claims that empathy has no place in government. I like many others found this statement to be outlandish and so I took off to record my response to his statement. Luckily, I did not post my original audio. Instead, I took some time to actually think about his statement. Upon some reflection, I somewhat see his point. We do need intelligence running our country, but at the same time, we need to understand the plights of our fellow man. Therefore, I've come to my own conclusion that we need to be cautious about how we dole out empathy. We can lead with empathy, but use intelligence and wisdom to guide it. Blindly helping others without knowing their situation may lead us to supporting some bad habits of that individual. Enjoy. Joe Biden finally reveals who he has chosen as his Vice President nominee and quite frankly, I'm not a fan. Of all the available female V.P candidates he could've chosen, he went with Kamala Harris? Her track record is not good ladies and gentlemen. She has locked up more African American males for minor drug/crime offenses. She has ruined lives, blocked DNA evidence that would've exonerated many innocent individuals whom she has sent to jail. I'm not a fan of either of these two individuals for the Presidency and Vice Presidency of the United States of America. There were so many other fitting candidates, who actually didn't have shady political pasts. Instead, we are left with "creepy" Joe Biden, who seems to not be aware where he is half the time and struggles to make coherent sentences. On top of that, he is the author of the 1994 crime bill which has devastated the African American community. Then we have Kamala Harris, whose track record speaks for itself. She is the proud enforcer of that crime bill that Biden had passed 26 yrs ago. If this is who we are left with from the Democratic candidates, I fear that we have lost our way as Americans. I hate to burst some of your bubbles, but sports and politics have been in bed for decades. From Jackie Robinson, Jim Thorpe, UFC fight decisions, sports franchises decided to leave a city/state, politics really dictate a lot of our sporting events. The NCAA was formed because Teddy Roosevelt didn't want college athletes to continuously change schools. And now the NCAA pretty much controls almost all college athletes livelihoods. There is no one knocking your door down to arrest you and execute you. what you are experiencing is a little something called, "criticism".
