In this episode we speak to Mr. Teppei Hori, a lawyer who is doing very interesting things in the area of real estate. We talk about how he started out developing small apartment buildings in Tokyo. He then branched out to hotels and timeshare-style accommodations at well-known Japanese beach resorts and now also in Hawaii.

Mr. Hori's timeshare company is unusual in that the properties are small and the ownership value is increasing instead of decreasing. I think Mr. Hori's story is a great example of how you can blend the knowledge of being a lawyer with another business idea or interest. In this episode I spoke to Mr. Takashi Nakayama, President and Principal Broker of the Kujira Club in Honolulu that handles the resale of Timeshares, etc. Timeshare is an interesting kind of property that makes it possible for you to own an affordable piece of paradise for a short time each year. As Timeshares are also subject to probate, we discussed how to set up the ownership title of your Timeshare property that would help avoid the long probate process. In this episode I speak with lawyer Hideko Sakaguchi located in Osaka. Recently, I had the opportunity to hear Ms. Sakaguchi speak at a conference on divorce in Japan and I learned a lot from her.

In this episode we discuss how her law firm acts as a bridge for clients who are going through divorce or inheritance issues which involve Japan and other countries. This can be a very big relief in stressful times. In this episode I speak to Chieko Sasayama, an administrative scrivener (Gyoseishoshi) who helps people prepare wills and handles situations that involve international estate matters.
