You could say this show is the intersection of being a really good boss, a really good mom, and a really good wife and doing them all on your own terms!

Together we’ll have unfiltered conversations with moms from across the world about what it really takes to have the life you dream about.

Our guests will share stories of triumph, fears and challenges, and will empower us with their own perspectives on how we can navigate through our own challenges and conquer them to come out victorious on the other side.

Our host, Kae Whitaker, is a successful entrepreneur currently running 2 businesses alongside her husband Tim, while raising 4 children, ranging in age from an infant to a very busy teenager, while still making time for each other and the things in life that they both love.

Kae has designed this show to be a safe place for honesty, vulnerability, and empowerment to support one another as we boldly go after life’s dreams, tear down old ideologies that keep us hostage and as we pursue our own modern definitions of success.
Today’s episode dives into a topic that’s hitting close to home for many of us: **how to keep your business strong after the election.**

Whether you’re feeling excited, disappointed, or just plain exhausted, the changes in political leadership can stir up a lot of emotions and even impact how we approach our businesses.

But here, it’s all about setting up a game plan, so we’re ready for whatever comes next!

Feeling All the Feels? You’re Not Alone.

We kicked things off with a quick check-in.

Post-election vibes are real, and if you're still processing, that’s okay!

We all have responsibilities to ourselves, our families, and our businesses, no matter who’s in office.

This episode is dedicated to helping you get back in “boss mode” and ready to thrive, not just survive, in the months ahead.

Key Strategies to Prep Your Business:

1. Stay on Top of Policy Changes:

Knowing what’s coming down the pipeline can help you make the right moves. Different administrations bring different takes on taxes, healthcare, and regulations.

For business owners, this isn’t just politics—it’s knowing how to manage changes in things like tariffs (if you’re importing goods), labor laws, and healthcare access for your team. Don’t worry if you’re not a policy expert!

Being aware is half the battle.

2. Check Your Financial Health:

Now’s a great time to revisit your finances.

Post-election changes may impact taxes and economic conditions, so sit down with your financial advisor or CPA.

Review your investments, re-evaluate spending, and ensure you’re positioned to weather shifts in the economy.

My husband and I did this recently, and while I was hesitant at first, it felt great to get a clear picture of our financial future.

3. Client & Team Communication is Key:

Relationships matter—especially now.

You don’t have to bring politics into your client conversations, but being open and consistent about your values and the quality of your work builds trust.

I’m clear about where I stand, but I make sure my clients know that my commitment to helping them remains solid.

The same goes for my team. If you’re managing employees, keeping them informed about your business plans can ease anxieties and boost morale.

4. Be Ready & Stay Flexible:

Business agility is more than just a buzzword—it’s a survival skill.

Evaluate your revenue streams, focus on what’s working, and be ready to shift if you need to.

We walked through all of our income sources to see where our flexibility lies.

This way, if something changes (like a tariff affecting product prices), we can pivot without missing a beat.

Knowing where your income comes from and which areas are the most stable will help keep you calm and focused.

Looking Ahead: Thriving Beyond the Changes

Preparing for post-election changes isn’t just about surviving—it’s about thriving.

At the end of the day, we want to feel good about our businesses, provide for our families, and live the lives we’ve built.

If that means adjusting the budget or re-evaluating our priorities, it’s worth it.

Stay informed, stay flexible, and remember that we are all navigating this together.

If this episode resonated, please give it a 5-star rating, and connect with me on Instagram!

I’d love to hear your thoughts and answer any questions you have.

And if you’re curious about the Bali trip or want more details on the topics we covered, just click the link below.

Let’s keep the conversation going, and I’ll see you next week!

Join Me In Bali --->>> <a...

Hey there! And let me tell you, I found Keenya on TikTok and I know you've heard a couple of episodes where I found these amazing women on Tik TOK, but when I found her on Tik Tok I knew we had to chat.

Keenya is an accomplished business executive, teacher and inspirational speaker, Keenya Kelly found her voice by writing and speaking about understanding your God-given purpose and living up to your fullest potential. She captures her audiences by conveying powerful lessons of overcoming fear, self-doubt, and divorce to creating successful six-figure businesses utilizing her gifts and corporate background.

Keenya is the CEO of If You brand It, a branding and consulting firm in Redding, CA where she strategically helps business owners go from the formulation stage of a Business to developing million dollar brands.

She believes that branding is what people say about you, when you are not around, so we need to tell them what to say.

Today Keenya and I talked about some real life stuff.

We talked about challenges that she's had in her past marriage.

We talked about the idea of being able to set boundaries and so much more.

There's so much in this episode that I cannot wait to unpack with you after you tune in, but once they're done, make sure you connect with Keenya because she is an amazing woman; and if you don't do anything else, but stalk her Tik Tok like I do, there is so much for you to learn from her.

Keenya will definitely be an added benefit to your life and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to know her now and bring her to your listening ears, lol.

So without further ado, let's hop into today's episode.</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Kae Whitaker </itunes:author>

Onyi Azih Talks Balancing Content Creation and Getting Your Hubby On Board
<itunes:title>Onyi Azih Talks Balancing Content Creation and Getting Your Hubby On Board</itunes:title>

Hey guys. I know a lot of you are not nearly as excited about this time as I am and I've gotten a lot of questions on how we've prepared for this season, so I recorded a podcast episode about it to tell you what we've done, especially since we're still knee-deep in this COVID-19 situation.

For us, this was something that didn't require a lot because I started preparing early, but I know a lot of moms were holding out to see how things would play out and I know that it's been touch and go for weeks no, so I thought I'd share our process to provide a little tactical advice for you if you need it.

Now be warned, I do fuss a little at the end of the episode, not at you, just in general, just because I'm so passionate about making sure our kids feel some stability.

If you've got questions after you listen, feel free to shoot me a message over in my IG stories and I'll answer them maybe in an IG live or story soon.

Thank you again for always supporting, I know this year is kinda stressful, but you've got this mama, don't worry you'll do just fine!

As always, if you loved what you heard share with a friend friend, sharing is caring!!!!

I am proud to call Alana a friend and she is a wonderful example of what a homeschooling mother with all the confidence exudes.

In today's show, Alana shares her story of how she came to the decision to homeschool her boys and why enough was enough.

Alana takes her own personal experiences and delivers a message that anyone can use to help their growth. As a Mental Strategist, she helps you turn your anxiety, laziness, and negative focus into opportunity. She shares a few of her own life’s challenges and the strategies she used to overcome them, and today is no different.

Alana shares her real-life experience to give us insight as mothers on how we can help create a system for our children that helps them thrive.

Tune in to today's episode and get a dose of confidence, especially with the school year approaching and get the confidence to do whatever you choose for the best interest of your family this upcoming school year.

Remember, especially during this time, there really is no right or wrong answer, the right answer is the one that serves the needs of your family.

Show Take-Aways
Alana's story is inspiring because as mother's we want the best for our kids and sometimes we are so accustomed to what we've always known that we miss the opportunity to take control of our kids' learning experience and make it what works best for them.

Alana encourages me often to know that I am in charge of this process and all things won't always be perfect but we are the drivers of this ship.

This is especially important because so many of us are considering alternative ways to educate our children and we lack the confidence to understand if we do something outside of what we are used to that it's just different not wrong.

She gives us a good laugh with her candid experience as being a mother and going through this process together with our children and how sometimes we may lose our cool, but we intuitively know our children and will grow together during the process.

There's no misstep or mistake you can't overcome because you are ultimately in control.

In today's show, Delise and I chat about some of the challenges that homeschooling moms might face and her advice to get through those challenges.

I ask Delise to share her insight on what she thinks it takes to commit to homeschooling your children.

You all know this is a new road for me, so my goal is to bring as many resources to the table as I can if you're considering this path as well. I was so excited to interview Delise because she invited me to a fairly new community on Facebook, and I was floored by the level of real engagement and support the group provides for families that are just trying to educate smart kids, lol.

Delise and I spoke briefly behind her heart behind her group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/thesurvivinghomeschool/ (Surviving Homeschool), and I knew after talking with her that I had to have her on the show.

Delise has been homeschooling her kids forever, that's right, her babies have NEVER crossed the threshold of a public school. And while you might think this was her plan from the very beginning you might be surprised to hear how this really came about.

Show Take Aways
One of the things that stuck out to me the most from today's episode was Delise's advice to stay attached to your why. Deciding to homeschool your children is a major life decision and while it may feel liberating in the beginning, I'm sure it comes with its challenges, as you hear Delise discuss in today's show.

But what I love about her reminding us of our "why", is that I know for myself personally, I'm an entrepreneur so it's my "why" that keeps me going when things aren't going my way, so I'm no stranger to the why being the motivation, and I think you could agree with that as well.

What it made me realize, however, is that there is no need to compartmentalize the why. My homeschooling why is very much attached to my professional why as well, and if I use the same thought process that I do when it comes to working, I can navigate through challenging times when they come.

My hope today is that you find Delise's insight as valuable as I did when she and I first talked about it.

Her passion for self-educating your kids and having the confidence to do so really stands out on the show, and if you're a homeschooling family her group Surviving Homeschool is an amazing resource that I highly recommend. I'm apart of it despite me being lousy at Facebook groups and it helps me when I'm there so I'm sure it can do the same for you.

I'm so excited today to share with you the update to the podcast. The podcast has been around for just over a year now, and as you know I was extremely excited about launching it last year around my birthday that I whipped that thing out in no time fast, but if I may be honest with you, I didn't think it all the way through.

You see, last year, I was reacting to a demand, which isn't all bad, but I didn't take the time to really strategize how I wanted to the show to 1) be found, 2) build community and 3) last.

If I can have another completely transparent moment, I believe there was a little bit of ego around the show and when I named the show and published it I published it around me as the person, and that's NEVER what I meant the show to be.

The podcast is a safe place for women that are wives, mothers, or bosses, to come together and have real-life conversations around stuff that matters, stuff that keeps us awake at night, our challenges, and our successes.

I've always envisioned the show to be about the women that listen to the show not about me as the host, and I didn't follow my own BRANDING advice and develop for the culture.

I developed for me, and God dealt with me for it.

I could never get comfortable in the way the show was showing up in the world. The guest's stories are so amazing and so enlightening and I always felt like they were hidden behind me, so I decided to press pause on the episodes and regroup.

Now while I was regrouping, life happened and the family abruptly had to move to a completely different city so getting this back together kinda took a back seat until I could get us stable again, and I'm happy to say that we are stable, and I'm ready to jump back on this horse, but this time do it the right way, which is all about you.

What is HER 360...
So what is HER 360 exactly?

I'm glad you asked, in today's episode I'm going to break it down for you and explain my heart behind the change and I'll do my best to explain the vision here below.

HER 360 is more than just a podcast, for me, I feel like the podcast is a place that will start the conversation but it doesn't stop there.

For me, HER 360 is a movement, it's a declaration that we as women can live FULL, DIVERSE, and BALANCED LIVES, and chase the desires of our hearts, of course with strategy.

HER 360 gives us permission to zig when everyone is zagging and stand in our truth's a live them freely.

As a mother, it's so easy to get lost in what's happening with nurturing your family that you forget about you.

You forget that your period is coming this week and you may need some extra "YOU TIME" this week and the kids can wait.

Sometimes you can forget that maybe you're multi-faceted and that pursuing what's important to you right now is ok, even if it means that the kids can't get everything they WANT while you get it.

You can easily forget that while you became 1 with your husband to fulfil GOD's plan for your life, that GOD didn't strip you of your own interest and it's ok to have them.

You can forget that work requires boundaries and it doesn't define who you are.

You are who you are separate of all those things, and self-awareness is necessary in order for everything else to work.

And for me, HER 360 helps us define that and gives us the community around us to support us along the journey.

The Community

In addition to the podcast, it was important for me to ensure that HER 360 was a community. It was important to me that HER 360 connected beyond just the show that there is a place where...</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Kae Whitaker </itunes:author>

How to Maintain Work Life Balance as a Busy Mompreneur
<itunes:title>How to Maintain Work Life Balance as a Busy Mompreneur</itunes:title>

In today's episode of the Kae Whitaker Show, I talk about how I maintain a healthy work-life balance as a busy mompreneur.

It's so funny that I'm even having this conversation because when I worked for someone else I yearned for the quote-un-quote "work-life balance", and as so many of you know, when you start working for yourself, that whole idea goes out the window at the cost of wearing that invisible "S" on your chest, and the "Ultimate Sacrifice" of your dreams!

Well before you listen, let me just say this, I completely believe in work-life balance, with the definition of balance being what you define it to be, and I practice it daily in my life.

Sometimes my definition of balance changes, but none the less, I'm deliberate about making it apart of my weekly routine.

And that's what we're going to talk about in today's episode.

Now before you listen, a big part of being able to balance work and life is understanding clearly what your priorities are and being able to define balance. If that's a challenge for you I've recorded another episode for you "https://kaewhitaker.com/managing-expectations-and-creating-breathing-room/ (Managing Expectations and Creating Breathing Room)", I encourage you to listen to that episode because I lay out very clearly how to define your balance and go from there.

Today's episode I guess you could say is a follow up to that conversation because I share with you how to practically manage the process so you can actually achieve the balance you've defined for yourself.

There's no one cookie-cutter definition of work-life balance but to manage your time to do all of what you NEED to do and all of what you WANT to do sure is a good feeling once you've got it down.

So take a listen and let me know what you think, and if you're interested in having a brief look at what we discuss during the show you can check out the outline below.
How to Maintain Work-Life Balance as a Busy Mompreneur

1. Place ALL of your affairs on your Calendar - ALL OF THEM
I know this may seem kind of elementary, but let me tell you what, in a house of 6 there is no way around it. In the past I would only schedule what I deemed as necessary, ie Work, kids activities, ministry stuff, etc, but I would completely ignore what I WANTED to do.

You know like go to the nail shop, go to the spa, get a wax, workout, etc.

Consequently, I would always do a great job at doing all of what I "HAD" to do, but at the end of the day or the week, I'd still feel like I wasn't fulfilled and drained because I never scheduled what I wanted to do.

The minute I started putting EVERYTHANG, yes I said EVERTHANG, on the calendar, I started to feel my spirit come to life.

Now let's be clear when I say calendar, I'm not referring to a routine, I'm say intentionally set aside time that can not be compromised on the calendar so you are actively working towards making it happen each and every week.

If those activities turn into a routine, great, but if not and routines are hard, like they are for us, at least you know you've intentionally set aside the time and if you stick to the calendar you're going to meet all of your needs.

This only works if you work it though, so be sure to tune into the show and hear how I make sure this happens once I've scheduled that time.
2. Project Manage Your Time - Heard of Time Blocking?
Now for me, I do time blocking my own way.

I start with allocating hours to work, hours to myself, then filling in all of my other commitments.

For some moms, this may seem a little backward, and maybe even a little selfish, but it's my way of doing it.

Focus groups have served both myself and the clients that I work in a number of ways.

One of the primary reasons why we utilize focus groups is to assess the sentiment of a market before we release a new product or service to gauge how hard we'll have to work to accomplish our goals.

I think oftentimes focus groups are thought of as something only large corporations do, but the reality is that any small business can incorporate the use of focus groups, the key is making sure you are well prepared to moderate the conversation and collect and analyze the data after it's complete.

So in today's episode, I share a recent focus group experience a client of mine and I facilitated and how we prepared for the experience.

If after you listen to this episode, you'd like to know about how about what we do with the data after the session is complete, I'd be more than happy to record an episode to explain, just let me know and if I get enough listeners to request it I'll gladly do it.

Until then, some things you can look forward to learning from today's episode is

 * How to prepare for a focus group
 * The benefit of conducting a focus group
 * What you can expect from the experience of a successfully executed focus group
 * Steps to take to make sure you are able to create an environment that relaxes everyone and gets you the information that you're looking for.

As always, if you enjoyed this episode, please share it with a friend, I've included a pin-worthy and IG stories sized image to make it easy.

Can't wait to hear what you think and see if you'll be attempting to leverage focus groups in your future marketing efforts!</itunes:summary><itunes:author>Kae Whitaker She is passionate about entrepreneurship and continuously sets out to educate many, especially mothers, on the importance of finding independence through entrepreneurship. She consults with start-ups and creating viable business models and is also the founder of Made Leather Company.

Made Leather Co is a luxury brand that imports quality handmade leather products from Morocco.

Lenise shared so transparently the challenges that she's overcome while building successful businesses from Child Care Centers to now very successful Made Leather Co.

Lenise and I laugh and we talk through just how she became the Modern Momprenuer that she is today from opening and running child care centers, living through divorce and natural disasters, and having threats on her life while she was in a foreign country.

Lenise is nothing short of amazing and you will not only be entertained but inspired to go full force after your dreams when you're done listening to her on today's episode.

She reminds us that if you need to pick yourself and come full circle you should go back review your goals, remind yourself of your why and find your fire. Take the lessons from your first mistakes and make your next experience 10x's better.

Chaun is The Heart Forward Leadership Expert and feels that in today's business world, there are too many leaders stuck in the traditional style leadership model, which is proving to be unproductive and ineffective for the workforce. This is why she spends her days promoting a Heart Forward Leadership style.

Chaun's goal for newly appointed and aspiring leaders, is to equip them with Heart Forward strategies that will

 * Reduce employee turnover
 * Foster employee buy-in that drives engagement
 * Promote a multi-generational culture
 * Cultivate a pipeline of successful leaders

Chaun believes that "Every great leader knows that the value of your success can only be seen through the success of your team."

Chaun is a proud graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and received her Bachelors of Science degree in Human Nutrition-Dietetics. She has been in leadership roles for over 15 years within the nutrition industry which has led to her love for leadership training and speaking.

She is the author of Being Heart Forward, An Others Centered Leadership Guide and Workbook, which touches on four Heart Forward principles every leader should utilize to be successful.

Because of her leadership push within the community of women leaders, she was awarded the VIP Woman of the Year from the National Association for Professional Women, she received a certificate of Congressional Recognition, designating February 13th, Chaun's birthday, as Heart Forward Day in the 18th District in Texas among many other accolades.

Chaun’s mission is to help create a leadership change that will not only propel the team to success, but the leader as well. "Let's change leadership one heart at a time!"

Chaun simply put is a super woman with a long list of acclaims to confirm that. But even with all of the success that Chaun has encountered in her journey, she shares some very intimate moments with us about what it really took for her to get there.

She shares her timeline very transparently with us and I was so encouraged and inspired after speaking with her for today's episode!

So sit back and relax as you listen to today's interview and be sure to let Chaun know you found her from the show!

In the beginning of my journey I have to admit there was quite a bit of tension in our home because I wasn't able to clearly articulate to Timothy what I was trying to do as it related to this business and it caused a bit of a wedge between us and we had to work through it so that I could really do what I now know I've been called to do.

I've spoken with so many women about the tension that their business is causing and it's my hope that through our transparency in today's episode we can inspire you to have a more open conversation with your spouse about your business and the two of you can get on the same page and make some magic happen for your family.

Full Disclaimer: We are not marriage counselors we are just sharing through our experiences, if you find that things are really tight at home it's both of our suggestions that you seek professional guidance. This show is only intended to be inspiration and insight into how we worked through it not professional marriage counseling.

Now with that out of the way, today is also the hubs birthday so if you would shout him out on the gram and let him know you heard the show that would be amazing!

Enjoy and be sure to let me know what you think in the comments!

I'll be the first to admit, that it is indeed a challenge to try to juggle all of your responsibilities and as a mother sometimes I feel like I'm failing in one part of life and excelling in another at the same time, and it's in these moments that I like to do what I call "priority checking" where I can realign myself and be better off for everyone involved.

Now in no certain order I share the 10 things that I could think of first that I think are lessons learned from my mother in my childhood and how I think they effect me now in my parenting.

These 10 things were thought about good bad and in different and a lot of them made me giggle just a little as I was recording. I also uploaded this episode to youtube and got some views from http://pistachioconsulting.com/buy-youtube-views/ (pistachioconsulting.com), if that is your platform of choice.

This Mother's Day I challenge you to do the same. Whether the relationship was good or bad with you mom I'm sure there were some lessons that you aspired to be like or you didn't and define how they've played a part in the relationship that you have with your own kids to this day.

If you've got a mommy to share with send it to her and make her day, but if not, tuck them away in a little https://momming.com/best-postpartum-abdominal-binder-and-girdle/ (safe place) of yours and review them every now and again as a reminder of the role that your mom played in your life and now that of your kids.

This was a fun exercise for me because my mother and I are thick as thieves, but I do realize that this time of year can be a challenge for some because some may not have mom physically present to share this moment with, and for you I want to say I love you and am sending comfort your way.

If you decide to participate be sure to let me know! I'd love to see if we share anything in common. Snap a quick pic of your list and post it on IG and use the hashtag #kaegetsme and tag me in it and I'll share it in my stories for today!

I hope your Mother's Day has been filled with everything you wanted it to be.

Have an amazing day mommies because you deserve it!

I am so excited about what today marks for us. It's the Introduction of The Kae Whitaker Show and my 36th stinking birthday, whoop whoop!!! (Get ready this is what you can expect, lol lol lol)

For months now you've been listening to me go on and on about this podcast that I was putting together, and on today, my 36th birthday, I am happy to release our very first episode!

The feeling that I have on today is unreal. This has been a love child of mine, and the response that I have gotten from all of you has made me incredibly humbled.

Just to give you an idea of what you can expect, this show is not all about business. As you'll hear in this episode, I went through a bit of a rough patch on last year and I realized that while everything on the outside looked perfect there was so much that I was longing for and I wanted an outlet that I felt comfortable sharing it.

So I created one, lol.

This show is what I like to refer to as the place that women can come and find the intersection of being a really good mom, a really good wife and a really good boss all at the same dang on time.

It's our safe place ladies, the place where you can come to share your struggles and find answers to how to get through.

It's a place of encouragement and empowerment and it's all about you!

We're girlfriends now, and when you're with good girlfriends you can safely and confidently share your troubles and get amazing advice from a sister that wants to see you win!

So get ready, because this is completely new for me as it's new and totally out of the ordinary from what you're used to hearing from me, but again, just like good girlfriends, we are going to grow together, laugh together, cry together and do life together!

I hope you're ready for the ride because I sure am and I can not wait to see where this train takes us...

Enjoy the first episode girlfriend, and be sure to let me know you came by and what you're looking most forward to getting out of the show in the comments!

XOXO,

Kae
