On this episode – which has been in the making for a long time – Ash Stinson and I explore the profound themes of the sacred feminine, embodiment, and the intricate layers of wisdom held within our bodies. Ash is an energy worker, a creator, a deep feeler and a deep thinker, a parent, and an expert on healing through the energy of your anatomy.

Ash's personal and professional life functionally revolves around one question: What gives us a sense of place? She studied and worked in Environmental Science, habitat preservation, and Landscape Architecture until her Saturn Return coupled with a twin pregnancy catapulted her into postpartum PTSD, and she finally got the cosmic memo – you can't create belonging in your backyard if you're lost in your own skin.

A decade of study, Reiki Master level certification, apprenticeship with her ancestors, and a certification in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy later, Energy Archaeology and the Realms of Embodiment were born. Ash now spends her days exploring the energetic anatomy and morphology of the body, from the bones, muscles, fluid systems, organs, nervous system, and DNA and translating it so you can understand your mythosomatic self and belonging within the wider energetic fabric of life.

We dive deep on this episode, exploring:

Her gender transition and return to teaching in 2008 made her the first openly transgender employee of an Orthodox Jewish institution. Joy's experience of being poetically mentored by the Shekinah resulted in the completion of a book length sequence, Shekinah Speaks, published by Selva Obscura in spring 2022, which she joined me to speak about on this podcast in 2023. Sande is actively engaged in leadership in the peace, compassion, community building, and women’s re- and in-powerment sectors. Her most recent work is in service to the role of women in this evolutionary impulse we are in during these transitional times. She served on the Women's Task Force for The Parliament of The World's Religions and developed and produced the first-ever Women's Village at the 2023 international conference.
