喜びを奪わせない方法・How to Keep Worry from Stealing Your Joy

心配は大きな声で語りかけてきます。朝一番に押し寄せ、その日の流れを決めようとします。しかし、ピリピ人への手紙4章は、喜びが心配を上回ることができると教えています。パウロは、主にあって堅く立ち、一致を追い求め、すべての不安を祈りの中で神にゆだねるよう勧めています。心配は最悪を想像しますが、感謝は神がどのようなお方かを思い出させます。感謝をもって願いをささげるとき、神の平安が私たちの心と思いを守ってくださいます。

このメッセージの大きなポイントの一つは、喜びは意識して考えることで育つということです。どんな思いが浮かぶかは選べなくても、どの思いにとどまるかは選べます。真実で、高潔で、正しく、称賛に値することに心を向けるとき、不安から平安へと心は変えられていきます。メールやニュースに心を奪われる前に、主にあって心を喜ばせることから一日を始めましょう。喜びは偶然ではなく、育てるものです。ぜひ今週のメッセージをチェックして、神が与えてくださる平安に踏み出してください。

Worry is loud. It rushes in first thing in the morning and tries to set the tone for your entire day. But Philippians 4 shows us that joy can actually outweigh worry. Paul teaches us to stand firm in the Lord, pursue unity, and bring every anxious thought to God in prayer. Worry imagines the worst. Thanksgiving remembers who God is. When we begin with gratitude and lay our requests before Him, His peace doesn’t just comfort us — it guards our hearts and minds.

One huge takeaway from this message is that joy grows when we think on purpose. You may not control every thought that enters your mind, but you absolutely control what you dwell on. When you fix your thoughts on what is true, noble, right, and praiseworthy, your mind shifts from panic to peace. Start your mornings getting your heart glad in the Lord before the noise of emails and news takes over. Joy isn’t accidental — it’s cultivated. 喜びは注ぐことから生まれる・ Joy Is Found in Pouring Out 今週のHope Aliveでは、ピリピ人への手紙2章から学びました。そして一つの問いを考えました。喜びは間違ったもので自分を満たすことにあるのではなく、自分を注ぎ出すことにあるのではないでしょうか。私たちは生まれたその日から、誰かの犠牲によって支えられてきました。この箇所でパウロは、イエス、パウロ、テモテ、エパフロディトという四人の姿を通して、注ぎ出す生き方を示します。イエスはご自分を低くして十字架で命を与えてくださいました。パウロは困難の中でも喜びました。テモテは自分よりも人を大切にしました。エパフロディトは命がけで仕えました。状況ではなく、神の御心に生きることから喜びが生まれます。今週、誰かのために自分を注ぐ一つの具体的な行動を決めてみましょう。そこに本当の喜びがあります。

This week at Hope Alive we continued in Philippians 2 and asked a simple but challenging question: what if joy is not found in filling up with the wrong things, but in pouring out? From the very beginning of our lives, someone sacrificed for us. In this passage Paul points us to four examples of lives poured out for others: Jesus, Paul, Timothy, and Epaphroditus. Jesus humbled Himself and gave His life on the cross. Paul rejoiced even while facing death. Timothy put others first. Epaphroditus risked his life to serve. Their joy was not based on circumstances but on living for God’s purposes. We were reminded to work out our salvation, trust that God is at work in us, hold firmly to the word of life, stop complaining, and intentionally rejoice with others. This week, choose one specific way to pour out your life for someone else and experience the deeper joy that comes from following Christ.

もし、あなたが誇りにしているものが、実は静かにあなたの心を空っぽにしているとしたらどうでしょうか。

ピリピ人への手紙3章で、パウロは衝撃的なことを語ります。私たちが「益」だと思っているものが、実は「損」になり得るというのです。成功。道徳。実績。宗教的な努力でさえも。どれも、私たちの魂を本当に満たすことはできません。

私たちは価値を得るために走り続けます。認められるために積み上げ、証明し続けます。しかし福音は、その考えを覆します。義は自分で築くものではなく、受け取るものです。

パウロは受け入れられるために走ったのではありません。すでに受け入れられているからこそ走ったのです。

What if the very things you’re proud of are the very things quietly emptying you?

In Philippians 3, Paul makes a radical claim: what we count as gain can actually become loss. Success. Morality. Achievement. Even religious effort. None of it can fill the soul the way we think it will.

We spend our lives trying to earn worth, stacking up accomplishments, proving ourselves to God and to others. But the gospel turns that upside down. Righteousness is not something we build. It is something we receive.

Paul doesn’t run to be accepted. He runs because he already is.

This message is about letting go of empty striving and discovering a fullness that never fades. It’s about trading performance for grace, pressure for peace, and fear for love.

You are already loved. Stop running for it. Start running from it.

Joy is something we all want, but what if real joy looks very different than we expect? Today we begin a new series studying the book of Philippians, where we explore a surprising truth. Joy is not found in perfect circumstances, success, or the next season of life. It is found in recognizing that God is already at work in you right now.

クリスマスは終わりました。でも、神様からの最高のプレゼントは、まだ終わっていません。

ヨハネの福音書3章16節から語られるこのメッセージは、神様がこの世界に本当に与えてくださったものを、もう一度立ち止まって見つめ直す招きです。包装された一時的なものではなく、今も生きて働く、変わることのない贈り物です。クリスマスを過ぎ去った出来事としてではなく、今日のあなたに向けられた招きとして受け取ってみませんか。

神の愛は、眺めるだけのものではなく、受け取るためのものだとしたら。永遠のいのちは、遠い未来の話ではなく、今を生きる希望と自由だとしたら。そして、信じる力そのものが、努力ではなく神から与えられた贈り物だとしたら。

Christmas may be over, but the greatest gift has not expired.

In this message from John 3:16, we slow down and look again at what God has truly given the world. Not wrapped in paper. Not temporary. Not fragile. This message invites you to see Christmas not as a moment that passed, but as a personal invitation that still stands today.

What if God’s love was not just something to admire, but something meant to be received? What if eternal life was not only about the future, but about freedom and hope right now? And what if even the ability to believe was not pressure placed on you, but a gift placed within you?

今週から新しいシリーズ「話し合いましょう：子育て」が始まります。今回は「家族を神の愛に中心づける」というテーマを一緒に考えていきます。子育てには喜びと重みの両方があります。親として、子どもを大人へとしっかり育てられているだろうかと不安になることもあります。さらに大切なのは、どうすれば子どもたちが神を知り、従うことができるかという問いです。申命記6章は、神が家族に対して、神の真実を思い出し、神の愛を語り合い、そして常に神に立ち返る習慣を築くようにと語っています。

この箇所は、神がご自分の民を救い、養い、いのちのための命令を与えられたことを思い起こさせます。同じように、私たちは神の真理を心に刻み、子どもとそれを語り合い、家庭の中に神の真実を示す目に見えるしるしを置くようにと招かれています。これは単なるルールの話ではなく、愛のことなのです。

In this message, we begin a new series called “Let’s Talk About It: Parenting.” Together, we look at what it means to center your family on God’s love. Parenting comes with both joy and weight. As parents, we often wonder if we are preparing our children well for adulthood. More importantly, we ask how we can help them know and follow God. Deuteronomy 6 shows us that God calls families to remember His faithfulness, talk about His love, and build habits that point us back to Him.

This passage reminds us that God rescued His people, sustained them, and gave them commands for life. In the same way, we are called to write God’s truth on our hearts, talk about it with our children, and display visible reminders of His faithfulness in our homes. It’s about more than rules—it’s about love.

今日、本当だと思っていたことが実は違っていたと気づいたことはありますか。マルコの福音書2章18–22節では、人々はイエスが自分たちの知っている宗教的な習慣、断食や伝統、神に近づく古いやり方に従うと思っていました。しかしイエスは、古いものに継ぎを当てるために来られたのではなく、まったく新しいものをもたらすために来られたのです。

このメッセージでは、神についての間違った思い込みの危険性、イエスこそが本当の報いであり喜びであること、そして新しい契約がどのようにすべてを変えるのかを見ていきます。イエスに従うことは、古い生活にイエスを付け加えることではなく、イエスを中心としたまったく新しい生き方に入ることです。

But Jesus shows that He didn’t come to patch up the old. He came to bring something completely new.

人生は、まるで反対車線を走っているように感じることがあります。ヒースが初めて日本に来たとき、ウインカーを出そうとしてワイパーを動かしてしまいました。アメリカに戻ったときには、すべてが不自然に感じられました。その混乱は、神様から離れて生きているときの私たちの人生や人間関係の感覚に似ています。私たちの本能は、自己中心や怒り、正直でない選択へと向かいがちです。でも、神様はまったく違う道を用意してくださっています。

エペソ人への手紙4章にあるこのメッセージは、キリストを知ることで、考え方、話し方、生き方までもが新しくされることを示しています。神様はただ私たちの行動を良くしようとしているのではなく、新しい心と新しい思いを与えてくださるのです。その変化は、神様のことばと御霊によって心が新しくされるところから始まります。そしてそこから、本当の変化が起こります。

Life often feels like driving on the wrong side of the road. When Heath first moved to Japan, he kept turning on the windshield wipers instead of the blinker—and when he returned to America, nothing felt natural anymore. That disorientation is exactly how our lives and relationships can feel apart from God. Our instincts often lead us toward selfishness, anger, and dishonesty. But God offers something radically different.

This message from Ephesians 4 reveals how knowing Christ gives us a whole new way to think, speak, and live. God doesn’t just improve our behavior—He gives us a new heart, a new mind, and a new way to respond. It starts with the renewing of our minds through God's Word and Spirit. And from that renewal, real change begins.

Heath walks us through five everyday examples Paul gives in Ephesians 4, showing how followers of Jesus live differently: speaking truth instead of lying, letting go of anger instead of feeding it, building others up instead of tearing them down, choosing kindness over bitterness, and living generously instead of selfishly.

神の目的: 私たちの祝福・God’s purpose: Our Blessings in Christ

あなたのアイデンティティは、あなたの生き方に大きな影響を与えます。神がどのようなお方かを知るとき、私たちは自分の本当のアイデンティティを理解することができます。そして、本当のアイデンティティから、神が私たちのために用意された人生を歩むことができるのです。

エペソ人への手紙は、神がどのようなお方で、私たちのために何をしてくださったのかを教えてくれます。そして、その恵みにどう応答して生きるべきかを示しています。

アイデンティティが築かれていくとき、それは友情、結婚、職場の人間関係、家族関係など、すべての人間関係に影響を与えます。神を知り、神のために生きることで、それらすべてが変えられていきます。

しかし、キリストにあるアイデンティティを築いていく中で、私たちは必ず困難や反対に直面します。それは私たちの信仰を成長させることにもなれば、信仰から離れる原因にもなります。自分が誰であるかを知っていることは、悪に立ち向かい、キリストにある強いアイデンティティと土台を持ち、本物の信仰を生きる助けとなるのです。

Your identity shapes how you live. When we know God is it helps us to understand our true identity. Out of our true identity we can live the life God created us for. Ephesians walk’s through who God is and what he has done for us. Then it shows how we should live in response to that. Building our identity shapes all of our relationships from our friendships, marriage, working relationships and family relationships. They all are affected by knowing God and living for him. As we build our identity in Christ we will face opposition that will either grow our faith or cause us to turn away. Knowing who we are will help us fight against evil and have a strong identity and foundation in Christ that will lead us to live out a genuine faith in Christ.

Who am I? The Road to Resurrection Sunday

The mountains, the ocean, the vast universe — God created it all. So why would such a great God care about me? Sometimes we live like we’re the main character of life. Other times we believe the lie that we’re worthless or forgotten.

In this series, we want to rediscover the greatness and love of God. As we look to Him, we’ll begin to answer the question: “Who am I?” And we’ll see how far God has gone to show His love for us.

教会に行くことが本当に重要なのでしょうか？オンラインで説教を聞くことが私の霊的成長に同じように効果的なのでしょうか？地元の教会とつながっていなくても、私は信仰深くイエスに従うことができるのでしょうか？聖書は、教会がイエスの名のもとに集まるとき、神が素晴らしい方法で働かれることを教えています。私たちが集まるとき、私たちは賛美し、成長し、神の偉大さを宣言します。それは、私たち一人一人ではできないことです。お互いに神の地域教会にしっかりとつながる手助けをしましょう。

Why You need the Church:

Does it really matter whether or not I go to church? Is listening to a sermon online just as effective for my spiritual growth? Can I follow Jesus faithfully without being connected to a local church? The Bible tells us that when the church gathers in Jesus’ name, God moves in extraordinary ways. When we gather together, we worship, we grow, and we proclaim God’s greatness in ways that we could never do on our own. Let’s help each other be functionally anchored in God’s local church.

クリスますが大好きな理由・Why I love the story of Christmas

何かを進んでやる、またはやらないというのは、どういうことなのでしょうか？多くの人は待つのを嫌がり、広告をスキップし、広告のないサブスクリプションに追加料金を払うことをいとわなかったりします。そう、私たちが何を進んで行い、何を嫌がるかは、人生の方向性に大きな影響を与えるのです。このクリスマスには、ぜひ私たちが彼のもとに行けないときに、イエスが私たちのもとに来てくださったその意志を共に祝うために参加してください。

また、私が本当に問いたかったのはこうです。私はイエスに従う意思があるのか、そして自分の人生の中でイエスに従うことをためらっている部分はないだろうか？ということです。

だから私はクリスマスが大好きです。イエスが私たちのもとに来て共に過ごすことをいとわなかったからです。

What does it mean to be willing or unwilling to do something? Many of us are unwilling

to wait, so we skip the ads or we’re willing to go the extra mile and pay for ad-free

subscriptions. What we are willing and unwilling to do plays a big part in the trajectory

of our lives. This Christmas, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the willingness of

Jesus to come to us when we could not come to him. The real question is: Am I willing to follow Jesus and are there areas of my life where I am unwilling to follow him? That`s why I love Christmas because Jesus was willing to come and dwell among us.

だから私はクリスマスが大好きです。イエスが私たちのもとに来て共に過ごすことをいとわなかったからです。

What does it mean to be willing or unwilling to do something? Many of us are unwilling

to wait, so we skip the ads or we’re willing to go the extra mile and pay for ad-free

subscriptions. What we are willing and unwilling to do plays a big part in the trajectory

of our lives. This Christmas, we invite you to join us as we celebrate the willingness of

Jesus to come to us when we could not come to him. The real question is: Am I willing to follow Jesus and are there areas of my life where I am unwilling to follow him? That's why I love Christmas because Jesus was willing to come and dwell among us.

Today at Hope Alive step into the world of Leviticus. This ancient book is a collection of holy laws given by God to guide his people – the Israelites. On the surface, Leviticus can come across as a list of “do’s & don’t’s,” but when studied in the context of God’s master plan, we can understand its true intention – to lift our eyes to Jesus Christ, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.

他人を家族でもあるかの様にして敬う
神様は喜び、家族への愛は尊敬を表すから助けを必要としている家族を面倒見ること
神様に希望を託し、必要な時に神様に頼る
うわさ話に参加しないこと
教会は牧師に給与を支払うべきであり、私たちクリスチャンもそれを可能にするために喜んで捧げるべき。

As Christians, We get the privilege of living out our beliefs with the people of God. Look for ways to begin living as a disciple of Christ. What are the ways that God is leading you to live differently?

Don’t lash out at others instead treat them with respect

Respect others as a loving family

Care for our family when they are in need because It pleases God and shows respect for our families.

Put your hope in God and depend on him in times of need

Don’t get caught up in gossip

The church should pay a pastor and we as Christians should give joyfully to enable that

Hold your leaders accountable appropriately and fairly

Use wisdom in who you place in the leadership of your church

Let wisdom lead you in every area of your life

Trust the results of every situation to God

どんなことが起きても揺るぎのない神様に常に頼る人生を歩むには神様の真実の柱を人生に築く大切さについて知る必要があります。

We need to know the importance of building up pillars of truth in our lives to live a life of constant dependence on God, who is unshakable, no matter what happens.

教会の定義とは：真理の柱＋土台であるイエス＝生ける神の教会、すなわち神の家。真実の柱とは神様の言葉がであり、真理の土台とはイエスのことをさして受け入れられます。これを理解することで、私たちクリスチャンは敬虔さをどうすれば身につけれるかが分かります。神様のことをよりよく知る時、神様に信頼する力をあなたに与えてくれます。全てに勝る土台と柱に頼れる人生を築けることができます。もしまだイエスについてあまりよく知らない方は、ぜひこちらへ！

A definition of God's church: pillars of truth + foundation as Jesus = The church of the living God, or the house of God. In this equation, the pillar of truth is God's Word, and the foundation of truth is Jesus. When you know God better, He gives you the strength to trust Him. You can build a life where you can rely on the foundation and pillars that are above all else. If we understand this as Christians, we then know how godliness can be acquired. The Bible talks about the omnipotent and omniscient natures of God in several locations. The following are some of the passages.

God "works all things after the counsel of his will" (Ephesians 1:11)
He sees the fall of sparrows (Matthew 10:29)
He is in control of the rolling of dice (Proverbs 16:33)
He controls the decisions of kings (Proverbs 21:1)
He has power over our eyesight (Exodus 4:11)
He has power over the sickness of children (2 Samuel 12:15)

God's track record of fulfilling His promises and continually being faithful to us is flawless. It should give us no doubt about His faithfulness to us. So why should we put our faith in God? The simple answer is that he is faithful to us. I have three points that show how God is faithful to us.

He is faithful to us by being a God that is all powerful.

He is faithful to us by being an all knowing God.

God is a faithful God to us because He is an all-loving God.

Meekness is to trust God's power, considering others, and responding to evil and sin with kindness and grace. Meekness is a character we get when obeying Christ. This is because thee power of the Holy Spirit enables us to be meek.

When we give control back to God, the action leads us to kindness. This is evident when reading 2nd Samuel chapter 9. Because there is a God who is kind and forgiving of our sins, we Christians can also be kind to others. This is because we learn to forgive others because of the compassionate nature of God.

In this series, we learn about what Jesus did before He ascended to heaven after the resurrection. Many things happened to the disciples in the 50 days between Passover and Pentecost. We are learning what happened and why these events matter to us.

このシリーズでは、イエス・キリストが復活の後、天に昇られる前に何をされたかを学びます。過越の祭りからペンテコステまでの50日間、弟子たちにはいろいろなことが起こりました。何が起こったのか、なぜこの出来事が私たちにとって重要なのかを学んでいます。

Jesus broke the power of sin and eternal death! Jesus calls his disciples together and explains to them that this is why he came. He told His disciples to go out to all nations to baptize, disciple, and teach people. He told them that He will always be with them! This is very important for everyone because what we do matters. We were dead in sin. So, what did Jesus do? What did Jesus call us to do? Let’s find out in this episode! Let’s pray about what that looks like in our daily life. In this series, we learn what Jesus did before He ascended to heaven after the resurrection. Many things happened to the disciples in the 50 days between Passover and Pentecost. We are learning what happened and why these events matter to us.

Jesus is our Lord! Jesus is our God who came to earth as a man. Whoever believes in Him will be saved through faith! As we study today’s passage together, notice that Jesus told us that blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. This is because the true nature of Jesus is the Word of God! Jesus appeared to the two men who were going home, disappointed because of the news Jesus died, whom they thought was the Messiah. In their disappointment, Jesus shows up. The death and resurrection of Christ gave His creation new lives by forgiving sins and iniquities of this world by taking them to the grave. His resurrection gave us new meaning because Jesus is, indeed, the Son of God. This means salvation is given to us when we put our faith in him that He is God who has resurrected. In today's episode, We are studying Mark 14:12-50. We read in these verses that Christ’s prophecies came true. This shows how Jesus’ promises are absolute and that His prophecies really come about.

He talks about how following Jesus leads us to problems and to be aware that we have an enemy.
