Until April of 22, I would manifest things without really knowing how which made me anxious deep down that it could stop anytime; I was never fully confidence about my ability to manifest again in the future.

The consequence of this internalization is usually sabotage, in subtle or not so subtle forms. Here’s what you’ll learn today:

• Not doing what you know would make you feel better;

Here's what I covered in this episode:

Things we need to heal or overcome if we want to make bank:

• Impostor syndrome and feeling like a fraud

• It's all about balance: Taking responsibility for our limiting beliefs and working on them whilst still taking action towards our goal
• Action is what gets you results. Take action even if it's scary. If it's so scary that you're paralysed, do inner work
• You need to accept that sometimes stuff doesn't go as planned, and it has nothing to do with you because the universe has a greater plan. Don't let it mean anything you don't want it to mean, because that's the shit that's going to bring you down.
• Your vibe doesn't need to be sky high. Manifestation is more about lack of resistance than a high vibe.

• You have to believe in what you do, and sell something you LOVE.
• Building Know, Like and Trust is how you attract clients.
• Fastest way to get to that is through a solid content plan that provides value, social proof and authority. Videos are key to grow faster as they really help with the know like and trust.
• It’s not harder to sell a program for $3000 than for $1000. The only difference is our beliefs about it.
• Evergreen program or launching business model, it doesn't matter. But you need to be putting stuff out there. The earlier you are in the process, the more you have to sell your stuff on a constant basis. WITHOUT feeling cringey.
• Pick one strategy and stick with it. Dispersing your energy left and right is not worth it.
• There is no magic strategy. Don’t fall into that trap.
• Put your blinders on. Don’t look at what others are doing, unless it’s making you feel great.

Shiny object syndrome is real, and it can be confusing to know what will move the needle forward and bring in clients, and what doesn’t. You’ll also get some useful resources that can make a huge difference even with a small budget:

Useful:

• Calendar (Acuity) not to waste time with scheduling 
• An email system to send broadcasts and set up automation
• Moonclerk for payments and payment plans
• Market research 
• Having a clear content plan
• Elementor Pro for WordPress
• Investing in coaches 

Not so useful:

• Misaligned lead generation 
• Courses if you don’t  have the resources to implement the strategy they teach
• Ads before having a clear funnel
• Branding packages (not nearly as important as the quality of the content)
• Fancy video editing
• Wanting to do everything instead of focusing on one simple funnel or tactic

Tips:

• Picking a damn niche 
• Not being afraid of what people would think 
• Fiverr to outsource stuff that would take too much time or energy
• Focus on one or two platforms maximum and repurpose 
• Someone to help with lead generation 
• Love and believe in your offer. It’s very hard to sell an offer we don’t like

There are three main reasons why we have visibility fears or experience anxiety when it comes to posting content online or speaking publicly in general:

1. Our real problem is not really visibility but rather impostor syndrome. We feel that we are not qualified enough, competent enough, and have « who am I to talk about this » thoughts going through our minds.

2. Visibility is just unfamiliar, and the fear/anxiety will likely vanish as we post more and become used to putting ourselves out there.

3. Sometimes, the negative emotions won’t go away. It’s likely a deeper fear that comes from past events, or that was inherited/passed on, like my crazy past life experience during a hypnosis session that was a total visibility game changer for me!

Very often, sabotage is a protection mechanism. It’s our mind keeping us safe from rejection or pain. So while sabotage has a negative connotation, it really is our subconscious wanting to protect us.

And while this mechanism is there to help us, it actually does the opposite and can cause the sabotage and fear of failure vicious circle:

(03:07) Step 1: Deep down, we are afraid of failure because it would mean we are not good enough or can’t succeed.

(04:30) Step 2: We don’t go full in, or stay in the safe zone: getting more degrees, avoiding that launch, not increasing our rates etc. We might put ourselves out there but not totally.

(05:19) Step 3: By staying in the safe zone, we never get to the next level, or get our first client. Because we have never fully put ourselves out there and tried 100%.

(06:10) Step 4: Concluding that we don’t have what it takes because what we tried hasn’t worked. That worsens the fear of not being good enough

(01:27) - 1. Spending a lot of money on certifications and diplomas we don’t need

(06:08) - 2. Undercharging because

• We feel that other people know more and can charge more
• We don’t have enough experience to charge more
• We feel like a fraud or an impostor and that we are not an expert
• We are worried that we don’t know enough to get our clients results

(11:48) - 3. Not taking action / procrastination

There’s one way to make money in our business: Getting clients.

And to get clients, we need to put ourselves out there AND let people know we have an amazing program.

When impostor syndrome is living rent free in our head, it makes us doubt. It stops us from talking about our offer. It makes us read more books instead of gaining practical experience. It makes us spend more time on websites and the like instead of focusing on money making activities.
