Lisa is a board member of the council and has been organizing the youth zone activity that will take place at Anniversary Park on the festival’s inauguration on January 22, 2022. The youth will take part in creating a mural on a large canvas where they’ll express their pride with the support of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

The Art & Cultural Center of Hollywood is also going to set up an arts & crafts section where the kids are going to be able to make flags and friendship bracelets. And Big Brother Big Sister is adding an educational element for youth who want to make a pride flag and will be shown the different types of flags.

Lisa is a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters on a program that was just started not too long ago called BIGPride and reminding viewers that there is such a need for mentorship and defenders of potential.

[15:42 min.] My Hollywood Pride is also celebrating that Hollywood has achieved a 100 score on what's called the Municipal Equality Index Score. “When we first started looking at this a few years ago, we were at a 49 out of 100 and it wasn't that Hollywood wasn't an accepting place, but we recognize that we weren't making our voices heard and saying that this was something important to us. We helped raise that score from 49 to 70 to 83 and this year to 100. Part of our celebration will of course be of that score but really it is just celebrating that there are people of all kinds that are welcome here.” – Todd Delmay
