StoneX released updated crop estimates Thursday afternoon, lowering its national average corn yield estimate to <strong>182.9 bushels per acre</strong>, down 1.9 bushels from its August survey. However, larger harvested acreage pushed its production estimate <strong>194 million bushels higher to 16.207 billion bushels</strong>.</p><p>StoneX left its soybean yield estimate unchanged at <strong>53.0 bushels per acre</strong>, with production estimated at <strong>4.547 billion bushels</strong>. Both figures are slightly above current USDA estimates.</p><p>Meanwhile, tensions between the U.S. and Iran continue to build, raising fresh concerns about fuel costs heading into harvest. The cattle market also reversed course after Wednesday’s higher trade.
