In the speaking world we call a statement like the title of this episode...

A 'negative presupposition'.

A presupposition means just what it sounds like... to PRE SUPPOSE something about someone or something.

This matters because when it comes to influencing or persuading others into action...

Positive presuppositions tend to move the needle better than negative presuppositions.

And I make it a point to never use negative presuppositions... unless I REALLY feel like I have to.

So know when I type...

"This is why no one is going to remember when you die..."

I'm not typing it lightly.

I'm sharing this with you today because it's been on my heart lately.

I see SO MANY PEOPLE talking about building and leaving a lasting legacy when they die...

But I can see CLEARLY that they'll NEVER build the legacy they think they will...

And in this episode I just uploaded, I explain exactly why.

There's NO AMOUNT OF MONEY that is going to "build the legacy" you think it will.

Because money runs out.

One thing that NEVER runs out though... is emotion and ideals.

When you know how to create a movement that changes lives and transforms people...

It'll never run out, even after you're gone.

ADVICE FROM A BARTENDER

6 years ago today...

I was heading into work for another 13 hour shift.

I was bartending in the afternoons, then hopping on the other side as a manger to close the bar down at 4am.

I was working 70-80 hours a week between 3 jobs, living in San Diego, JUST trying to make ends meet.

I was a 5x college dropout by then.

I had tried to take my own life already.

And I was in a toxic relationship.

I had NO SKILLS, NO MENTORS, and NO NETWORK.

You know what else I had?

NO EXCUSES.

Look... I KNOW firsthand how hard it is to change your life. ESPECIALLY when you have NO time and NO money.

Within 18 months of posting this video...

I left all of my jobs...

Made my first 100k...

Booked my first stage...

And launched a global brand and movement around ‘Your Mess Is Your Message’.

If I can do it, ANYONE can do it.

The difference between me and 99% of people out there? They keep telling themselves they can’t and then finding stories and excuses to back it up.
