I'm So Discouraged..

I need to be real with you. This moment is from the heart.

I’m in Washington, D.C., sitting in a small coffee shop called Ebenezer’s, feeling waves of discouragement. We’re only two weeks away from Breakers Conference at the NOW Arena in Chicago, and when my team told me the stadium was only half full, my heart sank.

God told me to go to Chicago. He said to build an altar of intercessors, to call the warriors, to bring healing to a divided city. I know what He said, and yet I found myself asking, “Lord, where is everyone?”

Then something powerful happened. I opened a book by Mark Batterson called Chasing the Lion. I didn’t plan it. I just opened it randomly, and the page said:

“We bought a coffee shop in D.C. and called it Ebenezer’s because Ebenezer means God has given us an unexpected victory.”

Right there, I felt the Holy Spirit whisper, “Mike, I will do it again.”

That was the reminder I needed. God has done the impossible before, and He will do it again. The word Ebenezer means “God helped us.” That is the declaration over Chicago.

Walking Like Jesus is the Evangelistic Ministry of Daniel Chand. Daniel is married to his wife Tanya and together they have one daughter, Zarah. As a Full-Time Evangelist he travels extensively across the nations preaching the good news of Jesus Christ, and together they have a heart to equip the Saints for the work of the ministry. Prior to accepting Jesus, Daniel was on track to becoming a professional boxer. He lived a life of addictions, violence & negativity. He was due to be convicted to an 8 year imprisonment. Whilst Daniel was in this dark stage, the love of God broke into Daniels life and this led to his powerful conversion. Not long after his salvation, Daniel would find people to pray for on the streets just as Jesus did and he began to see the sick healed and people surrendering their lives to Jesus in shopping centres, churches and even in hospitals. Daniel enrolled and graduated at the Reinhard Bonnke School of Evangelism. It was from that point Walking Like Jesus was birthed and Daniel was catapulted into the ministry at the age of 21.
