For me, it came through a random book I found in a mountain-town bookstore…then again in a podcast I never listen to…and finally in a story about a 15-year overnight success.

The lesson?

Detach from the outcome.

Focus on doing the work as excellently as you can...every single time.

Because you can do everything right and still lose

.Everything wrong and still win

But if you keep showing up at your best…eventually, the universe catches up.

At a creator event, I met:

• A YouTube "guru" with 600K subs who was secretly broke
• A competitor with 5x my revenue but less profit
• My girlfriend comparing her Day 1 to someone's Year 10

The lesson? We compare our behind-the-scenes to everyone's highlight reel.

Even worse... when we compare to our past selves, we fixate on what we've lost, not what we've gained.

The fix: Stop comparing outcomes. Compare inputs.
