This is a heavy one that I stumbled through... With my own past, with people I've talked to, there's a lot to consider and think about... I may have some different takes but maybe that doesn't even matter.

Tough conversations will always sound insensitive, and I apologize but we push through the uncomfortable conversations for truth and clarity and to arrive in a new place, one that doesn't end with a cycle of stubborn mantras...

we can't half-talk about things just to get to the point where we get mad and stop talking. We have to go deeper, I only talk about it because I care and I see the need for reconciliation. I'm just human but I'd love to get to deeper truths that aren't understood yet...

I love you guys, I will always wish you the best even if I don't convince you of anything. I was raised to judge a person's character, not their characteristics which includes sexual identity or preference. Be blessed and be safe.

I do though, like perhaps Jordan Peterson would do, I try to reach for the interpersonal lessons and representative symbols that apply to our lives. As I've looked back at my transformation, I think back at why I identified with things that were no good for me. I realized that I believe about myself lies that I've told myself... or something even more sinister... I don't talk about it here but Satan literally means "the accuser". Whether figuratively, literally, or metaphysically, I could say that Satan may have had a little too much real estate in my head and I believed what he says about me more than what God says about me; what's worse is that this covered vast topics of my being...

Quite a Doozy.. or Is It? The interesting thing is that people just don't read the Bible for what it is... It's way more life giving than anyone's interpretation. Take away the suffocating Self-Righteousness and the Liberal Anarchy and be left with God's safety net and wisdom.

These are the passages that speak directly about divorce. The first four are Jesus' quotes, the last is Apostle Paul (St. Paul)

True Biblical Understanding

Is it true? Can you only understand the heart of the matter through the Holy Spirit? can we rationalize the Bible's teachings? Actually these are loaded questions... Of course we can rationalize them... IF our foundation is Christ: His death and resurrection. Without it, it's all foolishness and a stumbling block (1 Cor. 1:23)

Wrestle with God

We CANNOT be shy to be real, authentic, with God. Those who were most intimate with God argued (Abraham and Moses) and wrestled God one instance even literally (Jacob). It's ok to not understand, to doubt, to not agree, but don't leave it at that. WRESTLE WITH GOD.

Today we'll be looking at

Jesus as the perfect role model for obedience. Even Jesus slightly hesitated to take the cup of wrath, but obedience isn't always so hard and harsh. Sometimes, when we're aligned and have the wisdom, we desire obedience because we can see the blessing and we want what God wants for our lives.

While understanding that healing may not be exclusive to having faith in Jesus, there are facets that are unique to it. I tried to explore that all the way to talking about Psychedelics... I may have not done a good job though...

MOST REVIVALS BACKFIRED and Here's why...

Every church prays for revival but haven't we learned from history? and don't we know that good things that last forever, take hard work and a lot of time?

We should pray for manageable growth and proportional workers to tend the ripe fields. The majority of churches have passive members in them, imagine if we were active in loving God and loving others the way God intended.

Somehow this also got me thinking about denominations within the protestant churches, they're not a bad thing!

CHRISTIANS AND TRANS ARE THE SAME!?

I have so much compassion for the people who don't belong and I've spent a lot of time praying and wrestling with scripture to understand: Why?..

Here I only scratch the surface of what I've meditated on in regards to the LGBTQ community. All we can do is go deeper and get more nuanced to what's going on. I compare Christians to Trans by this one thing:

Both groups don't identify with their flesh. I don't condone or condemn but we have to see that maybe we have more in common than we think.

I go step by step hoping to reconcile. I don't know how useful or hateful this is, but let me know kindly.

Three times burned by The Church

This is about as real as I can get... I think.. what should I go deeper on or talk about?

Here I talk about the three times I got burned by the church. What this means is that people in the church, whether leaders or congregants, acted in an abusive, destructive or at least a hurtful manner. The three are: My dad's old theology, a messy situation with a crush, and the last one was parent's as I led the youth ministry (I still lead the ministry).

The last one was only made aware to me months later in therapy with a christian therapist. It made me contemplate on all the pastors that are tired of being bullied for doing the right thing... My heart goes out to every pastor that is hurt by their church but we can't stop and slow down! and we should have grace with these pastors!
