Eleni Govetas Kompania is a band of four best friends blending the sounds of traditional Greek folk with psychedelic surf. Eleni and her brother Bobby, the band's bassist, grew up immersed in Greek folk music, learning from their parents, who are also musicians. A multi-instrumentalist, Eleni plays violin, saxophone, zurna, oud, percussion, and more, and also collaborates with and tours alongside other bands, including the Brudi Brothers.

This Week's Episode is IROIRO. Led by members of the inimitable IQU, Michiko Swiggs (synths) and Kento Oiwa (guitar/theremin), Iroiro also feature drummer Justin Schwartz (Cobra High) and bassist/synthesist James Drage (SIL2K). They prove that having a singer is unnecessary when you create music this potently psychedelic. Iroiro haven't been around very long, but their impact so far has been seismic among true heads, and moving forward, it's only going to intensify.
