Want to start an online coaching business?

To build an online coaching business you have an engaged audience. So building and growing your audience has to be your priority. You can do that by forming and building client relationships in a Facebook group before getting to your coaching offer.

I agree with most people that building an audience through an email list is really a great way to go.

But I also think that you need to really understand that audience before you can convert them successfully through email.

I think you should start a Facebook group and name it in relation to your area of expertise. This way it's clear to people who it's for and what the point of the group is, which makes it a lot easier to find as well.

You might be nervous in starting an online coaching business but remember, while you might be brand new to your coaching business, you are not new to your expertise, so you can be confident that what you have to offer is valuable.

Sometimes all you need is to visualize the lifestyle you dream of having, even if it seems outlandish or impossible.

Having a life vision allows you to get more clarity around your future and what you want to get out of it – whether that’s in the next month, year, or five years.

What’s going on in your head? I know when I got started I had all these limiting beliefs coming at me.

I want you to ask yourself somethings:

- “What do I offer that’s different than anything else?” In the same way people are special to one another in relationships, what you offer is unique and valuable.

- “What will people say about me?” Putting yourself out there takes vulnerability. Trust in your own expertise. With great risk comes great reward.

- “What if it’s not good enough?” Don’t wait to launch your business until everything is perfect. Your ideal clients need your business right now.

Here’s how to start an online coaching business with confidence:

- Tell three people about your business. Discussing your plans makes them real and builds accountability.

- Introduce yourself in three online communities. Visit Facebook Groups, industry forums, LinkedIn, or wherever your target audience hangs out.

For two weeks, show up daily in those online communities. Connect with target clients by starting and joining conversations.

It’s a great time to be an online coach. In this video, I talk about online marketing for coaches and share my top three tips for standing out in the crowd.

Here’s how to set yourself apart from the competition:

1. Create more content. Showing up on social media and via email is how you introduce your business and start building relationships. Begin with daily content aimed at your target audience. I would do with weekly YouTube videos, monthly blog posts, and repurposed content. Potential clients are looking, so make yourself easy to find.

2. Focus on VIDEO content. Be present on YouTube, Facebook Live, Instagram Stories and Reels and of course TikTok. People prefer to watch or listen rather than read, and potential clients respond to you “in the flesh” where they get to know, like and trust you. Remember, just be you.

3. Make your message specific. In your content, show the value of your coaching services by pointing out how you’re different from other online coaches. Tell them what they can expect from you and why you are such a great fit for them.

I've battled this all my life.

I got help from a good friend of mine Steve Krivda.

3 Tips For More Conversions On Your Sales Page

Just like you, your sales page is a big deal.

Luckily, there are a few minor tweaks that you can make to your sales page that will have it converting like crazy and leave your potential students saying, “I need this, NOW,” and then hitting that buy button.

In this episode, you’ll gain the guidance you need to simplify your sales page with a powerful layout that has worked extremely well in my own business.

When it comes to a compelling sales page, there are a few features you want to pay attention to: your (CTA) call-to-action, your “Magic Mirror,” and your “Highlight Reel.” And don’t you worry, I’ll explain what all of those mean.

Here’s a snapshot of a few things we talked about…

If done right, your sales page can be gold. It can be one of the most essential parts of your sales funnel, customer journey, and conversion success.
Your sales page is a tool to deliver the four W’s of your offer. These are what your offer is, who it’s for, why you created it, and what transformation your course offers.
Sprinkle your CTA's throughout your sales page. Have four different CTAs with one near the top for action takers, one after your offer and bonus content, one after your money back promise, and one at the bottom of your sales page.
Clearly state who your product and offer is for and place this near the top of your sales page. This is the magic mirror where they see themselves in the copy and keep reading.
Future pacing is like a highlight reel that paints a picture of what is possible for your student and how your offer will get them there.
