It started with physical stress I couldn't explain. Then came an AFib episode that landed me in the hospital, panic attacks, multiple trips to the ER, countless doctors and tests, vitamin deficiencies, significant weight loss and a body that suddenly didn't feel like my own.

At the same time, life wasn't slowing down. I was dealing with enormous stress at work and the deaths of three people I loved within a matter of months. Eventually, I learned that I was living with Crohn's disease — something I never knew I had — and began the long process of trying to rebuild my health.

I talk about the panic attacks. The isolation. What it was like losing 35 pounds. The toll it took on my wife and kids. The people who helped pull me through it. And where I am today as my body continues to recover.

This isn't a medical advice episode. It's simply my story — and a reminder of how quickly the life you thought you had planned can change.
