This was recorded during the SAG/WGA Strike of 2023, with sanctioned by the SAG/AFTRA union.

VICTORIA RAFAEL trained at Orange County High School of the Arts and UCLA, also studying Commedia Dell'Arte and Shakespeare abroad in Arezzo, Italy and Oxford, England. A true triple threat, she performs in several classic retro dance troupes (1920's-1960's), writes and directs film and has been featured in the Oscar-winning film MANK and the TV show EUPHORIA.

TONOCCUS MCCLAIN's credits include: The world premiere of  “Four” at Hollywood and Edinburgh Fringe festivals; the Pulitzer-winning LA Opera  production of ‘Omar’; “West Side Story” in Helsinki, Finland. Over 50 TV/film soundtracks & commercials, and a featured soloist in 2019’s reimagined The Lion King. Next: “Oy to the World” this December at the El Portal Theatre.

NATHAN SMYTHE made his TV debut dancing on GILMORE GIRLS and soon became a dance regular on AMERICAN DREAMS. Since then, he has become a sought-after voiceover actor for video games and commercials, most notably for White Castle's "Craver" ad campaign. A beloved DJ & Emcee, he is an expert producer, advisor and music provider for retro 1940s-1970's for world-renowned events including Viva Las Vegas and Hot Rod Rock & Rumble.

FELICIA TAYLOR E. has performed onstage at La Mirada Theater for the Performing Arts, Los Angeles Music Center, Orange County Performing Arts and the award winning Deaf West Theater. Trained at London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art and Second City Improv, she is also the 2022 Finalist of the Readers Choice Award for her first book "Southern Spiced: A Brown Girl's Tale.  TV Credits include: THE TIM & ERIC SHOW and AMERICAN GANGSTER. Commericals: Old Spice, Banana Republic & IBM.

AARON LYONS is an actor, director, designer, producer, stage manager, technical director, and crew member. His over 250 credits on National and International resumes include Radio Play productions of MORIARTY, THE DEVIL'S GAME, A FALLING STAR AT BUZZARD'S ROOST and two Dramalogue Award-winning live stage productions -- PULP SHAKESPEARE and THE DEVIL & BILLY MARKHAM.

In our last episode, Gabby has lost her mother Caitlin, and is now the new owner of Molly’s Drive-in Dance and Dine, the infamous tourist attraction. Her childhood friend Mo has brought her rockin’ Hollywood band the Flutterbyes to play the wake and pay respects. Meanwhile, DJ Nate - who is not so secretly in love with Gabby - cooks more and entertains the out-of-town guests. But Gabby is dead-set against any romantic shenanigans. It’s Episode Two. A FALLING STAR AT BUZZARD'S ROOST is a full length musical in four episodes with hilarious commercials and original music by The Flutterbyes. The show was workshopped to SRO audiences at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, developed and recorded during the Covid Lockdown and stars a diverse cast including comedy greats Dave Foley (Kids In the Hall, Fargo), Gary Anthony Williams (Boondocks, Reno 911); Broadway's Maureen Davis (original cast of Into the Woods) and Kacee Clanton (Janis Joplin on Broadway) as well rock goddess Roni Lee (singer/guitarist Venus & the Razor Blades and gold record winner with The Runaways).

Our story begins in the tiny hamlet of Sylacauga, Alabama. Home of Molly’s Drive-in Dance and Dine, a tourist attraction known for the worst sci-fi horror movies in the state and for a chunk of the famous meteorite that fell there in 1954. Here we find our heroes, the infamous Hollywood band the Flutterbyes - Mo, Paola, Ronnie Lee, Sonia, Emi and their clumsy but faithful roadie, Dick - preparing to play at a wake for best friend Gabby’s recently deceased mother, Caitlin in Episode One - Mama Knows Best.
