Lyne was applying for school there, and Martin had been investing in real estate in Montreal, but New Brunswick and Moncton specifically was the perfect place to invest, with less competition, more affordability, an a good work force looking for places to live. Many times there’s better cash flow outside your geographical investment area, even if you have to eventually hire a property manager, or if you are BRRRR-ing. We started investing in small 2-4 unit multifamily apartments in 2014 and were able to generate enough cash flow to replace Carlos’ income so that he left his w-2 in 2019. We also started investing as Limited Partners (LP) on large multifamily since 2021, and we’ve been part of several deals as General Partners (GP) for a combined involvement in 900 units.

We are the founders of Hablemos de Real Estate Podcast that was created with the mission of providing information and tools to the Latino community on everything related to Real Estate, Family and Finance, where they will find information from how to acquire a home for the first time to how to achieve financial freedom through real estate investments.

We also started our own mastermind called La Tribu de Millonarios in April of this year with the purpose of creating a community that supports each other in achieving our goals and becoming the best version of ourselves.
