We're going to share a perspective that could be helpful to cam models - but really it's for anyone involved in any spicy work.

I was browsing Reddit and found a post from a cam model who is feeling anger about men who come to watch and never tip - especially the viewers who send 'nasty comments'. (And we know there's a lot who do!)

My first response is to nod with understanding and have compassion. We approach cam modeling with a desire to earn money so of course we aren't thrilled with the freebie seeking time wasters.

Next, it's my desire to point out that it IS the reality. It has always been the reality.. It was like it when we got there and it will be like that when we're done.

So.... to bother ourselves about it to the point of anger - well, that's our doing.

I replied with this:

Warning that this might come off as woo-woo. (I'm a lot woo-woo LOL!)

We bother ourselves a lot when we resist reality. When we wish it were different, that they were different... it wastes our energy.

When we come back to the same reality day after day and continue to bother ourselves with it, of course anger is going to build.

When/if we can accept reality and let go of our resistance to it, we stop draining our energy and just show up to take what we can from it.

OR we decide we will not continue to show up there and try something new ❤️‍🔥

Is it mind bending to consider that YOU are bothering yourself with reality and you could actually choose not to?

And yet some of us are finding it hard to set boundaries and feel terrified about telling a customer about a new boundary.

This is a messy process and that's perfectly OK!

Navigating experiences with our customers while protecting our well being is something we learn to do over time so we have to be kind to ourselves. I didn't come into this space knowing what I would be willing to do, I had to discover it along the way.
