IDAHOBIT, celebrated annually on 17th May, is a global initiative that aims to raise awareness about discrimination, violence, and challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community.

This week's discussion focuses on the history of LVW and its principles of Trans Women's inclusion and Intersectionality being at the core of LVW & DIVA Magazine, which celebrates its 30th Birthday this year.

Arlene and London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) held a Market Closing Ceremony for LVW this week and our guests talk about Allyship & Visibility in the workplace, the removal of barriers to workplace inclusion and the importance of support and friendship.

They also bust a few myths and remind us of the plans for a "Party at The Fourth Plinth - Trafalgar Square" on Sept 19th.

Simple changes such as using appropriate language and terminology; listening to and amplifying the voices of LGBTQ+ people; standing alongside LGBTQ+ friends, family & colleagues, can all make a profound difference in the lives of LQBTQ+ people to help make them feel respected and loved.

As Nicki rightly says, "We're all equal and should help support each other and be kind.”

Safe Haven offers respite breaks, counselling, trips away and the most positive and happy events for the trans and non-binary community - and their family members - from all over the world and need your help in improving their function and meeting hall "The Bat Cave".

In order to improve facilities and make it inclusive for neurodiverse people it needs a complete revamp. It's going to cost at least £30,000

We discuss the purpose of TDoV, why it's important to the Trans and Non-Binary community, the reasons why we celebrate it and what it means to us on a personal level.

TDoV is one of three main events in the year that celebrates Trans and Non-Binary people, other events include Trans Awareness Week (TAW) and Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR).

TAW - Transgender Awareness Week November 13th - 19th

TDoR - Transgender Day of Remembrance November 20th

Topics include; The Buggery Act 1533, Colonialism, Ancient Greek and Egyptian History, Criminalisation, Aversion Therapy and Mesopotamian Culture (to name a few).

The two fabulous Sarahs discuss the amazing work FFLAG do as a national voluntary organisation and charity dedicated to supporting families and their LGBT+ loved ones.
