Let’s back up. You ever felt like there was a “church life,” and a “regular life,” and the twain shall

not meet? I i did. I loathe it now. I’m here to interrupt it. I like REAL people and love a REAL

God. I can and will have both.

I was told some say “The April Effect” is too holy for the back roads and too irreverent for the

church pew. Call it what you want; I just call it life. And I showed up hoping to help yours get

better. Why?

I’ve been fat and skinny. Rich and poor. I’ve owned the dream home, and I’ve been homeless a

couple of times—including currently. Ha. I have served and planted in churches, and I've been

shunned by them. I “had it all,” said yes to God, and lost it. I ate dirt.

The thing about losing your identity is you don’t have anything left to hold on to. For me, I

became willing to do or be anything God said, because I knew at the end of the day that was all

that would last. It’s why I can’t be scared of your opinion. It’s not that I don’t value you or desire

to be thought well of—that’s human, and I do! It’s just that my life doesn’t depend on it. It

depends on Him.

See, when you’re as low as you can go, you look up differently. Without the preferences.

Without restrictions. Without pride.

When the people and things that “made you you” suddenly vanish, leaving just you, God, a little

girl, and a chronic pain so severe that patho-physiology says it's only understood by terminal

cancer patients, you become pliable. Desperate.

It was hard. I tried everything. Spent everything. Saw every doctor. I could only work part-time

because the ONLY “treatment” was elevating my legs higher than my heart... not sitting... lying

down with elevation. None of us knew why.

Now I do. Now I have an answer to all kinds of things. And you know what the treatment is?

Lying down. It brings elevation.

We’re all made for something. Good at SOMEthing. The name of my next record isn't just a

clever title; it’s the truth: I’m “Only Good At Being Me.” Even those closest to me haven’t always

understood me. I spent years feeling like I had no one, but in the loss of those years, I gained

everything.

I’m honored to introduce you to the God I was never taught, to give you permission to live your

fairytale, and to help you do the same.

We’re all at different places, and we won’t all believe the same thing at the same time—that’s

part of the wonder of the journey. If you’re not looking for growth, answers, clarity, or open to

becoming who Jesus died for you to be, keep moving.

But if you’re curious, hungry, or maybe into the controversial, I’ve got you. I’ve tried all the ways.

My way turned to crap.

There’s not another way. Another answer. Another God. Another kingdom principle. He’s not

going to change kingdom principles to suit our preferences (I tried!). That’s the good thing about

an Almighty God who never changes—we always know exactly what to expect. And once you

crack the code, baby, you ain’t GOING back!

His way really is easiest. Fastest. The HARD part is within us—our heart posture. WE are the

thing created to change. So kick your feet up! Literally and/or spiritually—and watch me show

you how to have more from freaking REST! I’m right alongside you trying to do the thing, too!
