ALL of these lessons have shaped how I show up in my business to this day, despite starting my fashion industry career back in 2011.

These aren’t just corporate insights, they’re mindset shifts and practical takeaways that every founder, freelancer, and creative business owner needs to hear.

1️⃣ Don’t Make Assumptions
What’s obvious to you is not obvious to everyone else. Don’t assume people know how to work with you, where to buy from you, what your offer is, or even that it’s for them. Clarity and over-communication are key in any business - because confused people don’t convert.

Whether it’s website traffic, engagement rates, client feedback, or your own results - the data never lies. You don’t need to guess your next move. Look at the numbers. Track what’s working. Let the data guide your decisions.

Your business exists to serve your audience, not to feed your ego. The minute you start making decisions from their perspective - not yours - everything shifts. It’s not about what you like. It’s about what connects, resonates, and drives impact for the people you’re here to serve.
