What you'll need: pen, paper, a beautiful beverage to drink like tea or water, a candle, a match, and any other sacred items that help you set your space.

Steps:

Set aside space and time to design your space

Incorporate a ritual (light a candle or create a beverage)

Bonus: Light incense or incorporate plant magic through an oil diffuser

Questions from the exercise:

What is the intention or the purpose of the room or space you're designing, and what are the activities you want to use this room for?
What do you absolutely love about that room?
What bothers you about the room?
What is the current energy of the room? (You could pull a card here if you're having a hard time feeling into the energy.)
How are you using this room right now?
What do you want this room to feel like?
How do you want it to smell?
What colors do you envision?
How do you want this room to sound?
Are there any places in the world that you've been that encompass all of these feelings, textures, smells?
Write down those places and create a mood board: cut out pictures from magazines or use Pinterest or Instagram.

I welcome back my Feng Shui Teacher, Amanda Sophia, to the podcast this week to tell us what we can expect from the Year of the Rabbit in 2023. Working with the Southeast corner:

Incorporate color - greens, browns
Bring in the element of wood
Water is a supportive element, so bring in blues and black
Stay away from fire elements: this includes metal, metallics, silvers, grays, pastels
Invite the shape of wood: columns, rectangular shapes
Working with the numbers 4, 5, & 8
Bring in live plants with round leaves and edges: Jade plant, Chines Money Plant, Money Tree
Bring in art or wallpaper that incorporates trees, leaves, or water
Work with crystals: Jade, Pyrite, Citrine and create a money bowl that has these crystals in it
Clean out any clutter
Water is associated with money, so keep toilet lids closed, fix any leaks, remove blue colors from the bathroom, and keep the door to the bathroom closed
Bring in fountains, keeping the water clean and clear, and have fountains outside turned toward your home rather than away
Avoid infinity pools if at all possible
Unblock any doors
