She was getting ready to perform at the International Plow Match in Verner, with a potential audience of 100 000+ people... the conversation still managed to stay humble still!
About The Artist:
Celine's debut EP "Last One Standing", released in June of 2014, is a culmination of 3 years of writing, feeling, highs and lows, disappointments and achievements! In 2012, she entered a songwriting competition hosted by KICX 91.7 in Sudbury, ON on a dare, and was one of the top 5 finalists. Since then, she has taken every opportunity to host numerous house concerts, and has opened for and shared the stage with many very well established Canadian country artists such as Marshall Dane, Doc Walker, Tonya Kennedy, Ty Baynton, and Tim Hicks. She's also played summer festivals such as Parry Sound Ribfest and the Blueberry Festival in Sudbury, as well as opened the weekend for Country In The Woods. As a mix of country and rock, her voice carries farther than the ears can expect as she graces a stage near you.

Guest Biography:
JP Thibodeau is an Alberta based artist and a member of Canadian Actor’s Equity Association. Known for his work both on and off the stage, he is an accomplished director, designer & performer. In 2012 he was nominated as Best Actor in a Musical for both the Calgary Critics Choices Awards and the Cat Awards for playing Princeton/Rod in Avenue Q. He was the Artistic Director for the Cornerstone Theatre & Restaurant, a Canmore based Theatre Company known for its award winning tourist driven dinner show, the Oh Canada Eh? Play Description:
We Will Rock You – The Musical: Knowing the Show We Will Rock You (WWRY) is an original story musical written by Ben Elton set to the songs of Queen. Welcome to the iPlanet; a distant future earth where individualism is outlawed, and the youth (called the Yuppies) have all become mindless digital clones. The musical follows two revolutionaries, Galileo (Trevor Coll) and Scaramouche (Keri Kelly), on a quest to save Rock N’ Roll in this post-apocalyptic world where there are no musical instruments and rock has died. Filled with “more musical puns than all the dad jokes in the world”, WWRY is chalk full of pop culture references from every era. Pair that with energetic personalities and wild costumes to match, the musical itself is a “nonstop ear and eye candy extravaganza”

The jazz roots come out as they talk about live performances, and the relaxed energy of the band really comes through in the interview!
Artist Biography:
The Dazed is a rock group from Sudbury, Ontario. Creating their own sound influenced by John Mayer, The Black Keys, Pink Floyd and James Bay, The Dazed has a new and unique sound of tight rhythm, flashy guitar licks, organ and synthesizers that is amping up the Sudbury music scene. Given their broad music inventory of originals and covers, they perform at bars, halls and award ceremonies all over town, on any given Friday or Saturday. These young men have a drive for music that Sudbury has not been accustomed for quite some time; they make sure to leave it all out on stage after every performance.
Meet The Band:
Phillipe Mathieu --- Guitar & Vocals
Kyle Bellefeuille --- Bass Guitar
Nikola Goulet --- Drums
Michel Roux --- Guitar

About The Band:
Metalcore band and bilingual icons from Montreal. SFAK will seduce you with their french canadian accents but will also show you what real heavy metalcore sounds like! It will always be hard to fit Suicide For A King in a genre box, a nostalgic emo voice mixed with modern riffs, they're the true future of the scene. With many different songs to their arsenal, Suicide for a King always strives to develop their sound to new boundaries. The band already performed with some of the biggest names of the scene (Blessthefall, Silent Planet, Currents, Escape the fate) and they're just getting started!

Hear a few of his songs, the stories behind them, and discover the personality behind The Puckhogs!
Artist Biography:
I'm a songwriter from Copper Cliff, ON. My perfect day? Wake up, kiss my wife and kids, throw on some jeans, pick up a guitar, and write for a living. It's a work in progress. Aside from writing songs, I've spent about 30 years working in radio, PR, and media-related industries. But I'm always a songwriter first.
Meet the Puckhogs:
Three local songwriters – Sean Barrette, Chris Leblanc, and Brent Wohlberg – collectively known as The Puckhogs, formed in the fall of 2013 and entered their song, For the Love of the Game, in the CBC Hockey Night in Canada Song Quest. Their underdog run to 1st Runners Up out of over 1000 Canadian artists surprised the shit out of everyone, especially them.

About The Artist:
All The Wasted Years (ATWY) is a punk rock band from Timmins, On. Since reforming in 2015 the band has been a growing influence in the Northern Ontario music scene. They won the Timmins Festivals and Events Committees Inaugural Epic Band Battle and have shared the stage with The Glorious Sons, Bigwig, Silverstein, Creepshow and many more. Fuelled by the incredible lyrics of front-man Nathan Radey, the fast guitars of Darcy Larouche and Eric Fortin and the quick beats of Stephane Gaudet, ATWY gives vibes of the 90’s punk scene similar to bands like The Offspring, Green Day, Bad Religion, NOFX and Blink 182. They’ve played on the main stage at Rock on the River and Stars and Thunder and have played all over Ontario and have shows booked in Quebec as well.

They’ve played on the main stage at Rock on the River and Stars and Thunder and have played all over Ontario and have shows booked in Quebec as well.

He has built a brand in Toronto and beyond all while being legally blind from birth, it was a great conversation of how boundaries are often imaginary.
About The Artist:
Jor’Del Downz, is a producer, beatmaker, rapper, singer songwriter and percussionist. His love of music is apparent as he has a hand in every part of the process it takes to create it. HipHop is his first love and he wears the hat of vocalist, producer and recording engineer proudly. Born and raised in the small town of Sudbury Ontario Canada, he was diagnosed with Retina Pigmentosa at birth, totally blind until 4 years old at which time he gained back over 50% of his sight in both of his eyes. Drawing inspiration from industry hip hop icons Eminem, Tech N9ne, Andre3000 and DMX and his time in rap collectives and fashion school, there is no doubt he will be creating music for your ears to hear for years to come.

Hear 3 of her original songs, in raw acoustic form, and discover the personality of Jennifer Holub.
Artist Biography:
Jennifer Holub's “The Reckoning” is a hawkish condemnation of society’s place for women, and an urgent call to rouse from it. This collaboration with sonic experimenters Jon Danyliw and Matthew Wiewel captures the quintessence of their home in northern Ontario—pastoral, tired, cold, and resilient.
She has lived many lives. At 32 she made the reckless decision to leave it all behind for a music career. She lends her powerful voice and piano stylings to the revue Memphis-Based Soul music called the Northern Memphis Revival and The Co-operative. She is a bright spark in the Sudbury area music scene.

Find Her Music:

Website: www.jenniferholub.com

Bandcamp: https://jenniferholub.bandcamp.com

Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2g8NGPAbUuIPQsY2YuwoLV?si=9kbUurV3QIy_thjbKO37Vw

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Jennifer-Holub-Music-135621913122603/

https://the-music-prophet-podcast-kyle-vine.captivate.fm/episode/jennnifer-holub-songwriter-storyteller-music-prophet

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/0f8680c1-c28f-43d6-a82b-1879be49b937/L_q7Zpe1SzNJAh3t19qF_Z6S.png"/>
Kyle Vine

<itunes:duration>22:24</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:episode>14</itunes:episode><itunes:summary>Jennifer Holub explains her love for Fleetwood Mac, writing protest songs and a talent for songwriting. Recorded over the phone, they were really enthusiastic and had a lot of great insight on the role of a musician in society.
About The Band:
If mixing business with pleasure is a recipe for trouble, someone forgot to tell FXRRVST (pronounced forest), the fast-emerging Toronto-based duo of Holly Forrest and Matthew Fuentes, whose devotion to each other is seconded only by their shared commitment to crafting ridiculously catchy, super-emotive alt-rock. Offstage, the pair are committed environmentalists, and FXRRVST consciously strives to be green and to lead by example. It’s no wonder that FXRRVST snagged a 2017 Toronto Independent Music Award nomination for Best Indie act. The wider pop/rock world is already on high alert.

About The Band:
Country music has always felt like home for Elyse Saunders. From the dynamic stages of Toronto to the bright lights of Nashville, the Peterborough, Ontario native has followed a path of steadfast determination and artistic inspiration – regularly captivating crowds with her powerhouse vocals, engaging live show personality, and interactive charm. Priding herself on being an artist who never stops, Elyse discovered a passion for music early on when she met her first mentor, noted producer/songwriter Cyril Rawson (Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson), with whom she recorded her debut album in Nashville before releasing a string of Canadian country radio singles, and showcasing as an opener for ACM artist Deric Ruttan in front of 10,000 fans.
