God allowed Jerusalem to go into exile because of their continual disobedience and hardened hearts toward Him. But Daniel knew God hadn’t abandoned them; He was working on restoring them in a way that would eclipse everything they were going through. Because of this, Daniel stayed faithful to God and wasn't distracted by what was holding him captive.
