This novel focuses on the titular character, primarch of the 3rd Legion, the Emperor's Children, and their descent into the perverse Chaos corruption of blissful hedonism, away from the light of their namesake.

Finally discussing October's BOOK CLUB, Jonny and Joshy share their opinions on the LitRPG sensation 'He Who Fights with Monsters' Book 1, written by Shirtaloon, and performed on audio by Heath Miller.

A first for us, a LitRPG, or literary role-playing game, combines the qualities of a role-playing game (think Dungeons & Dragons) with a fantasy novel. The result? Jason Asano, an Australian man, is transported to an unknown realm in an Isekai fashion, blessed (or cursed?) with magic and an altered physiology. Jason quickly befriends a group of local adventurers who train him and help him to fit into this new world.

Da Red Gobbo is synonymous with the fires of 'revolushun' which stir in certain Grots' hearts. Whether called to action by the oppression of da Ork bosses or by the need to lead their fellow twits in defiance of an overwhelming enemy, Da Red Gobbo is not one entity but a figurehead adopted by many a Grot.

This was definitely the most 'fun' we have had with a Warhammer novel. Our next Book Club will be a bit more serious with The Horus Heresy: Dropsite Massacre, written by John French, released in 2025.

The Horus Heresy Dropsite Massacre (2025) by John French, performed by Jonathan Keeble. There will be spoilers.

Dropsite Massacre is a love letter to fans of the Horus Heresy saga, featuring many different characters and factions, following the reveal of Horus' betrayal against the Imperium. This novel follows the Primarchs and their legions, alternating between the traitors and the loyalists sent to end their treachery. What ensues is a storm of violence that will shake the brotherhoods of the Astartes forevermore.

March's Book Club will be a classic. 'Helsreach' (2010) by Aaron Dembski-Bowden, performed also by Jonathan Keeble. The novel follows Grimaldus of the Black Templars' defiant defense through the Third War for Armageddon.

What follows is an epic tragedy of humanity defending their home to the last.
