In episode 118, I speak to my friend Eliana Barosco. Eli is an intuitive life coach who, as a little girl, saw the world as a wonderful playground talking to trees, animals, and beings from other dimensions. But because of social conditioning and bullying at school, Eli, like many of us, parked her gifts so that she could fit into what was considered ‘normal.’

In the field of perception, Eli believes that anything is possible and that our future desire is just one intuitive choice away.

The pressures we face in life to conform to ‘fit in’ and be considered ‘normal’ – when actually being ourselves is what will really bring us joy.

It was an absolute pleasure to interview Dr Ashley Wellman. In episode #26 you will hear her heartbreaking story of how Ashley lost her husband suddenly and the journey she and her daughter have been on to develop a new magical life together out of the bereavement of a husband and father.

Ashley shares openly, that whilst she was breaking, she was not broken. Ashley had vowed to her husband to create a magical life for her daughter and out of the bereavement process comes a beautifully poignant and illustrated children's book called The Girl Who Dances with Skeletons: My Friend Fresno.

I feel so blessed to share the amazing life lessons that can come from some of the most challenging times in our life. Whether you have been impacted by sudden death, trauma or losses of any kind, you will hear the beautiful messages of hope and resilience from Dr Ashley Wellman that will make you think about the choices you make during difficult times.

How we all have the ability to find resilience in the most devastating of times.
Just because you don't work in the same job anymore doesn't mean you lose the skills and experiences that came with it.

Eowyn is a money mentor massage therapist and a watermelon enthusiast with 12 plus years of small business administration under her belt. Eowyn Is on a mission to help creatives build lasting financial stability that frees them up to do creative work without hustling anxiously for that next dollar when she's not geeking out about money, Eowyn enjoys running knitting long hikes and of course watermelon.

Some of the key takeaways from the show include:

Sometimes we need to allow ourselves to grieve and let go of what could have been because life may have a different plan for you.
That whilst we don't always have control of what is happening externally, we do have control of our mindset and how we can view things, how we can reframe things and how we can show up and totally embrace, what life is presenting to us in a way that allows us to take hold of the reins.
I loved how Eowyn uses pen and paper when she approaches helping people navigate money, mindset and management, and how neurologically something is happening when we allow the pen to flow.
When something needs to change in our mind or body, our body has a way of whispering to us and giving us clues.
When we go through traumatic events, we build up resilience, and if we choose to see it, we can learn almost to transcend difficult situations and trust that everything will always be okay.

In this show, James talks about how it all started when his parents took a call from BBC Manchester when he was just 10 years old. When the BBC was looking for a supplier of live fish for a then relatively unknown TV show known as 'Red Dwarf.

This moment of happenstance sent James on a journey of discovery into the world of film and television.

The things we love as a child, give us clues to the things that could make us happy as adults. James was lucky enough to continue on that path, but many of us forget what lit us up inside.

I discuss the real lesson people need to hear; which is that the use of gratitude, appreciation, and positivity is most needed when things are at its most challenging. Such as when we’re going through a pandemic when we’ve lost a loved one when our child has just been in an accident when we’re going through a divorce; those are the times when we really need to be able to practice gratitude.

That whatever you are going through today, however, big, or small - really try to find those small positives. Seek them out if they are not apparent because when we do this, we attract even more things to be grateful for.

I cover, why if this isn’t immediately obvious, you might need to master the art of resilience and the art of visualisation a different reality right there and in that instant when you truly need gratitude the most.

Episode #2 of Visualise You – I never imagined when I started out on this podcast journey that my first episode would be of such an inspiring, deep, emotional, vulnerable, and healing story.

In this episode, you’ll hear from Ananda De Jager a 26-year-old Ex-Model and her spiritual healing journey, to face her inner demons and recover from an eating disorder which ultimately leads to her starting her first business.

Part of Ananda’s recover involved her sharing poems written by others on her Instagram account. In noticing that other people connected with her through these poems, she embarked on writing her own poetry which resulted in Ananda publishing her first book. ‘Poems of Recovery’.

In this interview, Ananda openly shares her thoughts and feelings around her relationships with her family, herself, and food. There are so many great moments in this episode, you’ll be struck by Ananda’s honesty and ability to be vulnerable in the hope that she can help and inspire others.

But there are some really thinking outside of the box moments of how to approach marketing. Especially when your target market is hard to reach. As well as managing your side hustle and learning to live in the moment and enjoy the ride.

Expect to be astonished by Ananda’s resilience and outlook on life and how an entrepreneurial journey can be born out of a challenge; and how we can be thankful for even our darkest of experiences. And that everything really does happen for a reason.
