Who doesn't love Marshmallows and all the fun stuff you can make with them? I know I do love sitting around a camp fire making smores' and I recently found a New Love - Marshmallow FLUFF! This stuff is just beyond delicious! It's a creamy, soft delicious scoop of Heaven is what it is!

Then I started thinking about how the consistency of the marshmallow changes as you use it. I mean it can be a firm bite of deliciousness or delicately toasted and cradled between to graham crackers to be devoured!

It reminded me of Sin and how some of the Fluffy Consistency of Sin has become a normalcy in our life. How do we tell if something is sinful, when it's not listed in the Bible? Is there such as thing as a tiny white lie?

What is happening with our return to school this year? All we have heard this year since April is about COVID. Then, once we realized it wasn’t going away from the News Headlines we realized we would need to deal with our kids going back school in this!

I can’t believe that our kids will return to school in this chaos! Our kids lost the entire end of the school year, graduations, summer vacations, time with family and friends and the list goes on!

Now they will start school back, supposedly; in masks and plastic shields around their desks! This is of course depending on their county’s color code and which Plan “A” “B” “C” or “D” they must implement!

This year for school will be beyond chaotic & we should at least try to prepare them as best we can.

I remember the years of my young life playing board games scrabble was my favorite! It’s how I learned all kinds of the words! You kids are so cute when they are learning new words! Unless they learn the wrong words! Those are embarrassing!! It happened to friends of mine! Wait till you hear their story!!

Operation? They act like they’re digging for that knee bone but you know they’re just digging To find your last nerve!

What about The floor is lava? You must run & be agile keeping up with the kids on the obstacle course! I’m like “Y’all Call me for game two! Mommy Hit The Floor!!!”

Chess helps learn strategic moves for life.

You know that Question all parents eventually ask their kids, “If your friends jumped off a bridge would you jump too?” You expect them to say No! Not my son! He has Questions! “Are we running from someone to get away? How deep is the water? Is it my best friend?” Seriously? he wants answers before he fully commits to a strategy!

What a Cruel Teacher of life Covid has been! 

What other time in this young generation’s life has something so drastically and globally impacted their day-to-day life? When has anything else happened with such the opportunity to teach them? 

These kids blinked and life drastically changed due to a virus that was and is still spreading and taking lives. It has shaken them to the core and has intruded upon their very rights!  

Are their positive lessons kids have learned? When they emerge on the other side of this will they carry those lessons deeply? 

I hope that kids learned they could do with less. Less distractions to keep them away from the ones they love. Less loneliness because they see the possibilities of connecting! Less comparison & competition in their life. 

I hope they learn that change is inevitable and to survive it you must get back up when your knocked down. Maybe they can reflect on the Greatest generation of all time that was not known for that because they just laid down and let change rule them. They were the greatest generation of all time, because they made the hard sacrifices so the country could rise above. So, everyone had a chance.

There has been a lot of celebration over the past weekend in the USA, as we just celebrated 4th of July! I wanted to take a look at the milestones in our lives which cause us to seek out celebration!

Throughout history, different cultures have practiced celebrations for many reasons. Some for their Gods, Sun, Rain, Marriage and New Life! The list goes on and on! I found that the ancient Mayan culture actually sacrificed humans after what we would call a sporting event; however, for them this game "Pitz" was utilized for religious and political reasons! Sometimes, even to avoid war. The loosing team, would be sacrificed! Wow!

One thing is for sure, these celebrations were utilized to pass down the cultures' history, traditions and beliefs.

What do you celebrate? Why do you celebrate? I believe that one thing our ancestors did get right, was celebrating and creating a sense of community! We need to get back to this!

Our relationships need love to grow and be maintained. Anything worth having takes work. When's the last time you worked on showing your love?

Are You Uncomfortable Yet? I know recently, I have become very uncomfortable. Why? Because, I have left my comfort zone!

What does uncomfortable mean? Definition: discomfort, distress; painful, irritating. In a state of discomfort; uneasy; conscious of stress or strain.

We are each walking a journey in life and experience differences along the way we must navigate through. What happens when those differences bump up against your comfort zone? Where you feel safe?   

My journey of change has started! I know the only way to change is to challenge myself and be bold to push through my boundaries!

Children know all about love. They easily offer it up to their family and friends through hugs, laughter and showing they care about each other. I know there are many issues taking place right now in society; but we must lead with love, become involved and join together with love to create action.

What is happening to our country right now? I turn on the TV everyday to the news that we have once again allowed ourselves to act in cold, callus actions; that someone has died horrifically and that it seems we have still not learned our lessons on how we are supposed to treat each other; with Love and Respect.

How do we deal with the onslaught of injustice? There are many ways you can be called into action. For me, prayer is Key, because prayer brings the wisest counseling relationship we have. Our relationship with God.

Have you ever thought about how or where you pray? Wondered what it means to pray without ceasing? Thought to yourself what is the most power weapon I have in my possession to bring Peace into my heart, ask for change and healing? Well, are you shocked I would say prayer?

Prayer is our weapon with Direct Access to God! Why wouldn't we use it for every situation, especially the horrific unbelievable ones? Did you know there are different types of prayer for different situations you find yourself in?

I have learned more and more about prayer as I have grown more mature. I know some will say that prayer isn't always the answer; but I would argue it should be the first. There is power in prayer.

Today let's talk about how to Pray Your Way! Everyone's is different, but they are heard! That is exciting!

Happy Mother's Day To You All! I am very thankful that even in the midst of this emotionally trying and painful pandemic we celebrate those around us who have poured into our lives through Motherhood!

I will share just some thoughts with you that I hope will touch your heart and encourage you and of course Make You Laugh! Mother's Day was a celebration for me! I actually put on makeup, fixed my hair and shaved my legs!!! Yes, I Did!

As women, we are pretty amazing. Our abilities and God given gifts can change the world when empowered with God's given purpose in our life. Have you ever found yourself far away from shore in the water asking "Where's The Boat"? It happened to me while Scuba Diving 60" Feet under the ocean waves!     

I will share how a Scuba Diving trip, turned into an Underwater Emergency!! I was floating along; everything was fine, then it wasn't! Thank God, I knew the Safety Underwater Signal for "Where's The Boat"?

It reminds me of a guy named "Peter" in a boat during a STORM! He stepped out onto the Water In FAITH toward Jesus!! Talk about Risk! Peter was focused at first, but in a moment he became distracted. When that happened, Fear crept in & he started to SINK! Jesus had to save him.

What is your favorite recipe? One you make all the time? Do you try new recipes often? Do you follow the recipe or add things along the way? LOL!

I don't like to follow recipes, I use them more like Loose Guide!

I did however; recently have the bright idea to make a Mexican Limeade for a Ladies Night I was hosting at my home. It was the best evening, because I made the Limade & Actually Followed the Recipe! Then I made my friends try it with me, "Drink Unseen"! I had not tasted it; to confirm if it was bitter, tart or sweet! It added to the excitement! And, it happeded to be really, really good!

I know when you don't follow the recipe you can really mess up an otherwise great outcome for dessert, drink, roast, etc. You name it & I can probably mess it up!

But when we don't follow the recipe, can things be fixed again or is it a completely lost cause?

The word Cadence has a few different meanings. My personal favorite way to use this word is as a Noun- "the flow or rhythm of events, especially the pattern in which something Is Experienced: the frenetic Cadence of Modern Life.

When I look back over my life in moments when I felt overwhelmed and life was a struggle, I can clearly see now; that my Cadence with God's will for my life was not good. I was struggling to find the rhythm and forget about us making a sweet melody together with me following his plan! It was out of step with the dance and finding it hard to get back in Cadence with God.

I love the fact that God will meet you where you are, no matter how the music flows and work to align our Cadence with Him again!

I hope you enjoy hearing how being in God's Cadence is where it's at, to find that sweet melody in you life and for the Final Masterpiece to be discovered that's within you!

When I was young I used to climb everything! In fact my Mom loves to tell the story about looking for me throughout the house to no avail until, she looked up in the kitchen and saw me sitting on top of the refrigerator. I was about three! She was thinking how in the world did she get up there!

Thus, started my climbing days and I became adventurous and dangerous! Not only did I do crazy stunts, from jumping out of trees and jumping off the roof of my house! Once I even dragged a friend up on the roof!

As I grew older, looking back at jumping off the roof, seemed a lot less risky than most of the decisions I made through my young adulthood!

I wish that as we grew up the level of risk associated with jumping into situations, decisions & moments of life was as small as when I was little. Have you ever put yourself into a situation that you were jumping into but couldn't jump all in due to fear?

I have learned to Jump In Again with new confidence on my journey with God! Do you have something you are waiting to jump into? Could you jump, if you could let everything go that is holding you back?

It is a joy for my family to be allowed to spend a little time with yours. My kiddos, Cameron, Ethan, Austin & Brooklynn were all excited to share their Christmas memories, favorite traditions & songs with everyone.

I'm so thankful to have my parents still with us to share their fun stories of Christmas. It certainly makes my heart happy to see them laugh about memories from the "Old Days"! My Mom & Dad both grew up in much harder times than I did & learned to appreciate everything they had & each moment they were given. They shared with us the True Meaning of Christmas, Jesus Christ, along with the sacrifice He made to save us each of us.

I'm very Blessed to continue that Legacy of sharing with our children, that Jesus is the reason for the season!

Nashville native Randy Finchum, is an award-winning songwriter and radio personality who has had over sixty songs recorded by various artists, among them country music great multi-platinum artist Sammy Kershaw. 

In the Christian Country genre, Randy has been blessed with four #1 songs as a writer and an artist, among them “Jesus Was a Rebel”, which was named 95.5 WTVY’s SON Country Countdown “Song Of The Year” for 2014. In May of 2016 Irish country music star Mary Duff released her CD “Changing Lanes” (ISG/Sony Music Australia) which included two of Randy’s songs, including her single and video for “What Heart Can Do”, which currently has over 350,000 views. In 2018 Irish band Hurricane Highway's cut of Randy's song "I Learned From You" was considered for a Grammy nomination. 

On the radio side, Randy hosts the weekly “New Music Showcase” segment on the syndicated radio show “The HLE Christian Country Countdown with Steve Roberson” as well as the "Music City on the Mountain" show on HLE Radio and WFMC Jams. Randy also previously hosted the "Music City Magic" segment on 106.5 WOCY as well as the “Nashville Night” radio show on the Nashville Songwriters Radio Network. Randy also has written theme songs for the nationally syndicated radio talk show “The Long Version with Fletcher Long” and the HLE Radio morning show, and has recently performed on the “Nashville Today” show and “The Music Row Show” on Nashville’s legendary radio station 650 WSM. 

Randy has given his testimony of how God saved him in churches from Michigan to Alabama. His mission in music and in testimony is to let others know no matter where they are or what they’ve done, God is waiting for them to call on Him. “He is a great God, and I never knew just how great He was until He pulled me out of the darkness and into His light,” says Randy. “God’s got a miracle waiting on you!

Brandon Lee Waugh, was born in Scottsdale AZ & moved to Tennessee with his family, when he was three.  Brandon was a sweet boy, but with three older brothers you can bet it was an active household; with some shenanigans going on!

Brandon was a "Star Wrestler" throughout high school, until his senior year; when a brain injury sidelined his college career & the scouting teams. It was during this time that God changed the direction of his life.

With wrestling no longer an option, he found himself "Wrestling with Change"!  He wasn’t allowed to watch tv or engage in many activities so he found himself sitting in a dark room with nothing but time on his hands.

He always loved music & started listening to it again. With the songs & stories, God turned his “Wrestling Heart” with a deeper love & focus on music.

This is truly an inspirational story of how a young man focused on the path he thought God had for him, ended; but God brought him from injury to victory, as he wrestled with change!
