Many individuals and organisations have been focussed on the disastrous effect the proposed repeal of sections 13 and 14 would have on individual’s ability to defend themselves from unlawful attacks. This is excellent and we agree that this proposal is problematic and illogical.

There are however more changes in this bill than the self defense changes, we take a small bite out of the huge number of changes and attempt to clarify why these will have huge effects on South Africa.

The changes this will bring are far reaching and devastating to the country's firearm owners, dealers, importers, sport shooters, hunters, museums, private and public collectors and anyone that requires or could possibly have need for a firearm for any activity in the future including self-defense.

Some of the most competitive shooting sports are heavily based on athleticism while still being able to shoot most of the points. At the very top of IPSC/USPSA it seldom comes down to who can shoot more alphas, time is often the only differentiator, and the differences can be tiny. Movement is key in winning.

Kita has been analysing movement in shooters for years, applying her background knowledge in physical therapy, and helping individuals implement natural and efficient movement patterns.
