I feel as though Derek provided a candid and thoughtful reflection on his own life and it appears, he is using his legacy as a former NHL player to do some real good in the world. It was an honor to have the opportunity to chat with him and I hope all of you appreciate this solid conversation.

Credits

Doc Emrick: The Voice of Hockey (2021) Documentary Special Part 1/6

CapsHockeyPlease - YouTube Channel

Presented by NBC

February 22, 2021

Guest Credits

Derek Mathers

Instagram

@derekmathers29

Brian Rodman

Kickstarter for Memoirs of an Angel (Click for Link)

Dawson Richard

The Void Frequency Podcast (Click for Link)

https://what-the-niche.captivate.fm/episode/derek-mathers-niche-nhl-hockey-player

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/b9218272-6a86-4c3f-be11-ad8b9e7c94b3/Captivate-Logo.jpg"/>
Andrew Morris

<itunes:duration>01:21:09</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>true</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:episode>33</itunes:episode><podcast:episode>33</podcast:episode><itunes:author>Andrew Morris</itunes:author>

Kevin Geary - Niche (Basketball Coach)
<itunes:title>Kevin Geary - Niche (Basketball Coach)</itunes:title>

In this week’s episode we had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Kevin Geary. We sat down for a chat with Santa Claus himself! George Smithers is a department store Santa who started playing the role for his family and has now taken the character on tour across the country. In our conversation we discuss the varying experience George has had during his time portraying the man with the white beard. Those experiences vary from having kids tell him he’s not real, to having a fan of his travel hours away just to see him at Christmas time. We also discuss the distinctive encounters he has had as an African American Santa Claus. Our talk ranges from discussions of the joys of Christmas to the stresses caused by George not fitting the stereotypical notions associated with Santa Claus. Personally, I found our chat to be uplifting, enlightening and important. Erica proves she is an absolute super fan of the horror genre and that she is one bad ass lady!

I loved chatting with these two awesome ladies and I hope you enjoy our conversations as well!

Credits

“Halloween III Cochran Samhain Speech”

September 14, 2019

Dan Gilman

Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)

Dino De Laurentiis Company and Universal Studios

"Everyday is Halloween" inspirational speech | Malcolm in the Middle S02E02”

March 21, 2020

Al’vin Al’sace

Malcolm in the Middle

Satin City Productions, New Regency Productions and 20th Century Fox Television

Dastardly Dingoes Podcast

Click the link to check out the Halloween episode of the Dastardly Dingoes Podcast starring Andrew Morris

Guest Credits

Lydia Burris

https://www.facebook.com/zyphryus/

http://lydiaburris.com/

Instagram

@madartistlydia

Erica Kauffman

https://www.facebook.com/AtomiCotton

https://atomiccotton.com/

Instagram

@eztz13

https://what-the-niche.captivate.fm/episode/the-women-of-horror-part-3

<itunes:image href="https://artwork.captivate.fm/b9218272-6a86-4c3f-be11-ad8b9e7c94b3/Captivate-Logo.jpg"/>
Andrew Morris

<itunes:duration>01:39:29</itunes:duration><itunes:explicit>true</itunes:explicit><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType><itunes:episode>23</itunes:episode><podcast:episode>23</podcast:episode><itunes:author>Andrew Morris</itunes:author>

The Women of Horror Part 2
<itunes:title>The Women of Horror Part 2</itunes:title>

In this week’s episode we continue our dive into the wonderful world of women in horror.

Our first guest was the delightful Autumn Barefoot. We also delved into the world of the varying folklore and terrifying goings on in the world including the figure of the Jinn from the Muslim culture.

Finally, our last guest is Tabby Gray. She is a mother, wife, and master of fright having worked at several local haunted attractions over the course of the last 15 years or so. The podcast ventured outside the realm of the comfortable office chair and laptop which normally facilitate these conversations. Here we found ourselves in the midst of our guests niche. The American Horrorplex in Louisville, Ky. is where this week’s nightmarish chat takes place. We spoke with the owners of this fantastic haunt, Travis Boling and Matt Clayton. They each shared with us how the haunt came to be and how they actually met each other and later went on to get married.
