About the Guest:

Jamie Sale was born in Calgary and raised in Red Deer, Alberta. She began skating at an early age and moved into pairs figure skating by age twelve. Sale teamed up with her first partner in 1989 and competed in the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, and finished twelfth overall. Then in 1998, Sale paired up with partner David Pelletier and had a short but dynamic four-year amateur career together. Sale and Pelletier became the first pair to win Worlds held in Canada since 1984 and were also awarded the Lou Marsh Trophy as an outstanding Canadian athlete. Sale and Pelletier won Gold at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, a huge accomplishment as Canada had not earned an Olympic gold medal in pairs figure skating since 1960. Following their Olympic win, Sale and Pelletier began touring with Stars on Ice and had an incredible 10 yrs with them. They were inducted into the Skate Canada Hall of Fame in 2008 and the Olympic Hall of Fame in 2009.

Sale is an advocate for the Special Olympic movement for over 8yrs. Jamie is a proud mother of 2, son Jesse and daughter Samantha. Her and her family reside in Edmonton where she is a transformational neuroscience coach helping individuals, teams and leaders reach their full potential.

Staying isolated was a big part of her life because it was “safe”, eventually she discovered that there was more to life and made a choice to step out of her shell and face her fear and anxiety. She rebounded with great success becoming a multi-faceted entrepreneur and finding her gifts as a healer, eventually becoming a counsellor when she helps a wide range of channels from addiction to anxiety. Jennifer has been a counsellor for over 20 years helping people to love their lives. She experienced her own limitations and found herself playing small and staying stuck. Once she decided to make a change she emerged brilliantly by finding tools that could quickly and effectively move her to a more fulfilled life.

In her time working with clients, she found that most people want happiness, to be heard, health, trust, career, passion, stability, enthusiasm for life and love but that at the same time were settling for a life that was sub par.

Finding the tools that work for each individual, specific to each beautiful individual self, is where Jennifer comes in. Our guest Dr. Allen Lycka shares with us how your perception of a situation is truly everything. He shares his health journey from being diagnosed to what the doctors believed to be ALS Lou Gehrig’s disease and possibly only having months to live to later finding out that it was in fact Lymes disease. Getting treatment for it and healing from it, and creating such an abundant life and truly living like there is something more because God had given him a second chance for a reason.

About the Guest:

Dr. Allen Steven Lycka was acknowledged as one of the leading cosmetic dermatologists in the world for three decades. A pioneer in cosmetic surgery, he helped to develop laser-assisted tumescent liposuction - an advanced body sculpture technique, and Moh’s Micrographic Surgery, an advanced means of removing skin cancer with 99% success. He has lived and practiced in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada since 1989. He’s written 17 books, 30+ academic papers and hosted the number one internet radio show in the world – Inside Cosmetic Surgery Today. He is a co-founder of Doctors for the "Practice of Safe and Ethical Aesthetic Medicine" and founder of The Canadian Skin Cancer Association. He won the prestigious Consumers Choice Award For Cosmetic Surgery for 16 consecutive years.

In 2003, Dr. Lycka’s life changed drastically when he suddenly developed a right foot drop while on vacation with his family at Disneyland. He promised his wife he would explore it, and after seeing many doctors was misdiagnosed with having ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Still, he maintained his status as a leading cosmetic doctor for 30 years. He later discovered he has Chronic Lyme disease.

Because of what he learned through his experience, he left his practice and co-authored the bestselling book, "The Secrets To Living A Fantastic Life" with Harriet Tinka, a former fashion model and Woman of Distinction.

He has also authored two more books: one with Corie Poirier entitled, “bLU Talks Presents: Business, Life and the Universe” and one with Jack Canfield entitled, “The Pillars of Success.” Both books also became bestsellers during the Covid crisis in 2020. Currently acknowledged as a leading expert in Living A Fantastic Life and Turning Points, he is a transformational speaker, thought leader, coach, and mentor.

Dr. Lycka is happily married to Dr. Lucie Bernier-Lycka for 38 years and they have four lovely daughters and seven beautiful grandchildren. He counts his family as his most important accomplishment.
